I keep buying them with all my spare cash (savings are put away in a sensible if slightly slow fashion).
There’s so many I want to have and drive at my leisure, and of course fix at my leisure, myself if possible.
I like looking at them...pretty much my morning ritual is to light a cigarette and go and just look at them.
Currently have
BMW 135i coupe
Fk2 civic Type r
2003 merc cl 500
Lexus IS 250

There’s so many more I want to add from sports cars up to jag xj up to Jeep Wrangler. The list of want never ends and i seem to build an affinity with most cars so don’t want to get rid.

Of course it’s expensive what with tax and insurance and batteries draining without a garage but I’d rather live in the London burbs with a nice flat big enough for a couple and a cat and a couple of holidays a year than take on a huge mortgage for a large property I don’t need.

This isn’t a brag, I’m just wondering what others do - I know you’re out there.

I've gone to one car after years of having two (latterly a BMW 645 and a Navara pickup) to cover all the bases. Not sure I'm liking it but it does make parking easier and it's a lot cheaper!

I have 4 motorbikes currently though, none of which I'd really want to part with so while I'm idly browsing bikes from the 70s and 80s they're always going to be additional to the current fleet. I've had my newest bike 5 years now and I've owned my oldest for 19 years.

I think it's important to not get too obsessive or stuck in your ways, be that feeling you can't go from 1 to more cars, or that you couldn't cut down from 5 to 4 etc. I like to have practical or niche older cars that are enjoyable, depreciate minimally and stop me looking at more expensive stuff! I current can't (don't want to!) cut down from 3 and secretly would love a 4th!

Guilty of this. In the past years our "fleet" went from two, one daily for me and one for SWMBO, to five. Two got sold off but another joined, currently the fleet stands at four, however the OH has flatly banned me from having anymore cars. The way round it is to build a larger garage so more can be hidden away, that's permissible, or have an offsite storage.

No actually, I had multiple cars (peaking at 4) for most of my driving career, currently I have just the one 15yr old 3-series. It's certainly less stressful and expensive keeping up with the maintenance and bureaucracy though there's less redundancy if it breaks (partner also has a car). It's not very versatile either, lovely to drive but no good at carrying stuff around.

I'm considering upgrading to a newer shinier replacement in the intermediate future, the only way I'll be going back to multi-vehicle ownership in the near future is if I get a pickup truck to go alongside the BMW instead of a newer replacement.

6 cars.
Mrs is now enforcing a one-in, one-out rule.

I'm a little bit the same, I currently have five cars and the other half has one herself.

Renault Twingo 133
Renault Megane 225
Merc S320 CDI
Merc CLS63
Merc CLS350 CDI - Other half's car

I also have a Merc E320 CDI which I'm planning to sell but just haven't got round to putting up for sale properly. Had someone interested who then struggled to get insured so will put it on here or Autotrader this weekend. We wouldn't normally have six cars between us but I do have a steady four on the go, three of which I've owned for 5 years or more.

Fortunately we live in a converted bungalow so there's space on the front and at the rear (plus a garage) although my CLS is in a dedicated car storage facility.

My Mrs tried enforcing this rule on me...

Currently on 8 cars after collecting a new car last night ... i bought a 206 SW for no other reason that it was cheap... i had no need for it at all..

I would buy more but storage and administration becomes a hassle to be honest.

Also I think my enjoyment from a car is related to how much I use it. Sitting and looking at a car I never use isn't for me.

The most I have ever had at one time is 3. For those of you with 8 or so cars, does it not become a bit of a pain in the arris to keep them all running well, maintained, serviced as per the schedule, taxed, MOT'ed, insured etc? Guessing insurance under a fleet policy isn't too bad (unless you are modifying them and constantly having to update the policy), but with all the other administration needs for a car, something must always need doing?!

Currently got 4 and 2 motorbikes.

2 are on the drive, 1 is in the garage being worked on and the other is in a neighbours garage that I pay £10 a week to rent. The council recently moved a lamppost that was blocking part of our drive so I now figure I could squeeze a 3rd car (5th in total) on the drive. Wife didn't look too impressed when I mentioned this.

It's not sensible in any way but I'm glad I'm not the only one.

No, I have one car and the wife has one car.

However, if you were to change the title to "Anyone else keep buying more and more turntables?" my answer would be very different.

Guilty!

I get too attached and have this fear that if I sell a car I'd really regret it!

Can't say no to a project either knowing I don't have the time or space.

We need to set up a help group.

Yep, having set up my own business a few years ago, the company car went and my weekend car, Mercedes R129 500SL became my daily driver. I didn't want to go down the lease route and put pressure on a fledgling business, but I also wanted some fun, so in the last two years I've added:
Range Rover P38 4.6 V8
Toyota MR2 Mk3 Roadster
Range Rover L322 4.4 V8
Porsche Boxster 986 2.7

And next week an R230 SL350 will be arriving........

I need to get shut of some - I think the first two going will be the P38 (currently undergoing air suspension rebuild rolleyes) and the Boxster (MR2 is a more enjoyable drive).
