Not the usual suspects. “Web”.

I’ve Googled it but no matches. I don’t think it’s web browsing because that’s via Safari.

Is it where I’ve clicked a link via WhatsApp?

I am prepared to be humiliated with the simplicity of the answer.

As I said in my OP, it's the "Web" that is new.

You can go into settings and find out what also has permissions to run. Maybe you have thin but it auto runs and you have to disable it when not in use?

Privacy and location services and any other info under privacy will show what is allowed to do what I think? Then stop anything you dont want to run unless using.

Or settings, the scroll to the app and see what it has been allowed to do.

I wonder if it’s where you are browsing Safari but through another app, ie when you click on a weblink in Twitter and it opens without leaving the Twitter app?

We would all have that wouldn't we?
I did a reverse image search but I think the logo is the default for 'no image' as the only relevant results are

https://communities.apple.com/pt/thread/250684695 - someone can't delete an app
https://pandasuite.com/windows-app-development/ - an app development program (I think)

I am glad that no one has said, "it's XYX you tard" already. I feel reassured that there have been a couple of replies without massive humiliation.

It’s an app that’s now been removed but accesses t’internet ... what have you deleted recently?

That’s the holding icon for when something’s been deleted

Nothing that I can think of.

But anyway, if I've deleted it why has it used 6% of my battery in the past 24 hours?
