Hi all, I’m hoping to get away to Europe this summer and am in need of some inspiration and suggestions of somewhere to rent a property that has restaurants & bars (and ideally a marina) within walking distance if possible please?

Thanks very much!

Cavtat in Croatia, just south of Dubrovnik?

Marsaxlokk on Malta?

Both lovely.

We fell in love with Torre a Mare in Puglia, Italy.

No British tourists, and precious little English spoken! Loads of airbnb - very popular system in Italy.

Lanzarote/Fuerteventura would float your boat (or lures preferred).

Honfleur, France. Simply lovely and easy to reach, great roads once over the Channel.

La rochelle, San Sebastian or any of the numerous towns along the coast of death in northern Spain.

I was about to suggest Honfleur, fits the brief perfectly. A bottle or two of Normandy cider with fruits de mers = a perfect evening.

I'd Add Milna, Hvar and Bol in Croatia for smaller marina's

Collioure.

Not as crowded or expensive as the cote d'azure.

Puerto de la Duquesa on the Costa de la Luz - quiet and a lot less touristy.

I'd second that we were there a couple of years ago and it is a lovely place.

Fiskardo is lovely... we slightly preferred Agia Efimia. Bit smaller & quieter.
