Germany quarantine

So Germany as of Saturday will put the whole of the UK as a quarantine restriction.

Is anyone able to clarify this part:
From 11.01pm BST on 23 October, the designated high risk areas will be extended to include the whole of the UK Anyone who has been in the designated high risk areas in the two weeks prior to their arrival in Germany is required to proceed directly to their accommodation and quarantine for 14 days or until they can show evidence of a negative test result.
Am I reading that right that even if I’m in Germany now I will have to go to my hotel and quarantine for 14 days?

Are you sure? Tests are widely available on the Continent. Certainly in Lux they are available on demand, with results within 24 hours. (Furthermore, it's free if demanded by a destination nation.) I'd be surprised if tests aren't widely available in Germany. We’re only going for 4 days 3 nights so to waste time finding somewhere to test and then quarantining awaiting the result is not worth it. If I could get a test today and have the result back by Saturday morning I’d do it. But then I believe I still have to register on arrival with an official somewhere to show my results??

I’ve contacted the German embassy this afternoon for clarification they wouldn’t answer on social media due to data protection apparently? So had to fill out a form.
However expats on the British embassy Berlin page are interpreting it as entering the country from Saturday as are the locals at the ring and other posters on the German embassy pages so going to continue as planned and if we have to test and quarantine on the Saturday will just extend our stay.
Hopefully the embassy are quick to respond.

We just got back from Germany on Saturday. You may have some difficulties at the hotels as they have been told you can't stay if you're from a high risk area. Even though we'd been in Germany for two weeks, the hotels were still treating us like we'd come direct from London as that's the place of residence they have on the paperwork. It may be worth contacting them and clarifying with documentation before you get there!

I’m currently there. Arrived in Aachen at our hotel for the night an hour before the new rules kicked in and had no issues. Our next hotel at the ring where we’ve stayed for 3 days immediately asked for our results. I explained that I was already in the country before the rules that didn’t compute I then said I have an email from the German embassy (I didn’t mention the content) they said forward it on and were more than happy. Speaking to locals around here there’s a feeling allowing the F1 fans to spectate has buggered things up as things are rising however that appears to be the case around Europe.
We come home tomorrow (we were planning on extending) but think that will be the last European trip until next year sadly.
