Second the Ginger Dog if you want to walk somewhere.

The Marina is all horrible chains, and chavvy, don’t recommend any!

We have a ton of great restaurants in the town but would involve driving. Most NCPs offer an evening rate of £4.50 after 6pm though so if you’re up for driving I’m happy to give you a list of great places.
Had a look at the Ginger Dog but the menu didn’t inspire.

Have pencilled in Bella Napoli

I stayed at the Jurys Inn and wa spleasantly surprised. Nice bar area. The car park is pricey though - charging for 24 hour periods midnight to midnight I seem to recall.

We usually eat at "The House" restaurant https://www.thehouserestaurant.co.uk/ and also like Casa Don Carlos for the atmosphere and great Spanish food. https://www.tripadvisor.com/Restaurant_Review-g186...

Donatello and Pinocchio are similar and are great for set menus and when you have kids along. Staff are always really friendly, meals are reasonable and food is good.

Many years ago (probably 20-ish) I stayed at, and ate at, a very modern hotel in the marina itself. Seem to remember it being pretty good on both counts. Is it still there?

We stayed at Malmaison and ate at Bella Napoli.

The hotel was very good and the restaurant superb. I was not expecting either to be as good as they were.

Just eat at the hotel in the marina it's good, avoid the indian there-lets say last time me and a mate had two different starters and two different mains and four pints and over £90, but two cap it off we both had the ”full indian experience” great for losing weight.
