Based on the photos, I've definitely stayed in worse than that

Probably the one we got thrown out of on our wedding day. They went into my wife’s room (She had been getting ready there), put her things in bin bags and left them at reception while we were at the service.

Seems to be a Britainna Hotel...which is probably all the information you need prior to booking.

The weird thing about Trip Advisor is even amongst the many awful reviews there's still a fair smattering of people who thought it was wonderful.

I don't think that hotel is open to the public at the moment - it's being used to house asylum seekers although that's been the case for years and they did take outside bookings too. Even the asylum seekers complain about it.

Also worth noting it's not the lowest rated hotel in Warrington!

I've never stayed here, but the reviews are always good for a laugh

I once stayed in a hotel in Scarborough, the room was ok but nothing fantastic but what put me of was the sign on the door that said bed wetting in this hotel with not be tolerated and then to find an industrial strength plastic inconvenience sheet on the mattress.

We booked two nights in a hotel in Vermont once and arrived late in the evening.

It was so fking horrible that the next morning I said we were checking out and the owners threatened us.

To be clear, they didn't threaten us with having to pay for the two nights we'd booked. They threatened us with violence.

Finally closed not so long ago. I don't know how it wasn't closed a long time ago.

Worst I've stayed in was in San Francisco.

We were touring round the west coast on a budget. Typically staying $50 a night motels, which on the whole were ok.

We didn't realise you don't get much for your $50 in SF. Turns out it was some sort of hostel for drug addicts and I'm not talking your occasional dope smoker, these were full on homeless heroin addicts.

We arrived too late to do anything about it, think we stayed 6 or 7 hours but would have been better sleeping in the hire car.

Clouded my opinion of SF as I still think the place is a sthole.

That has to be the worst hotel in the UK. Truly awful. I swear they rent rooms by the hour.
