Summer Holidays 2021
Discussion
2020.
Madeira in April turned into Greece in Sept which in turn has been changed to Canaries this April. I doubt it will happen.
Even 3 days near blooming Guildford in Dec got cancelled and a week oop North last November got moved to Feb and now to March. Again I very much doubt that will happen either.
Add to that even my work is now threatening the sack if we go abroad and then don't book an extra 2 weeks off for quarantine even if there are travel corridors.
I personally think 2021 is already a right off.

Booked Tanzania for April, which was a replacement for cancelled Dominican Republic at Christmas which was a replacement for Goa at Christmas which was a replacement for Jamaica last July.
Chances of Tanzania? 50/50 I'd say. Flying with Qatar Airways and Tanzania is pretty much open as normal.
Only problem being if Boris locks us down for foreign travel.

Booking anything right now is a triumph of optimism over reality.
Hoping August is realistic we can drive if absolutely necessary to where we are going. The Mrs was looking at stuff for the May school holidays which I thought was probably not going to happen. My view is that people did get away last year off the back of the natural advantage we have the weather picking up and reducing virus transmission plus the lockdowns. This year we have the lockdowns/Vaccine/Weather turning so e have everything on our side. I would guess we will still be wearing masks on the plane but barring some other catastrophe coming along I think we will get there.

I was talking to a chap from Zambia the other day (long story, over here to drop kids at school, schools closed, heading back home after 48 hours) who said Qatar Airways will fly as it's scheduled not charter, and the hotels are all open and working normally. He said both Tanzanian and Zambian Presidents have said "look, we have malaria and Aids which are causing us more problems than Covid, we need to just be sensible and live with it, we cannot afford to do anything else ".

I don’t know if you’ve seen the news but currently we have a travel ban, I can’t see it being lifted to allow foreign holidays before Easter. I hope I’m wrong as it will fk the airline industry.
NopeThere is no ban by law
You seem to be confused between guidelines and law
If there’s a ban then how come we can book flights to Dubai?

If the government are saying it is not appropriate to go on holiday and you need to quarantine when you get back, for at least 5 days if you then have a test, arguably it’s not the best idea to go on holiday at the moment. I doubt if their flight will be running at the moment.
Just because you don’t think it’s the best idea doesn’t mean others will think the same I’d be surprised if it didn’t go ahead

Your opinion. That's fine. But there is no travel ban. And flights are operating. Holiday flights such as Tui et al, no. But scheduled flights are. Perhaps less frequently, but you can still fly.
Quarantine doesn't bother me either.
It doesn’t bother me as I work from home, my neighbour is an ambulance driver, he can’t work from home.Quarantine doesn't bother me either.
