When you say the LFT, do you just have to show the stick thing with a negative result?
No, needs to be administered by a certified organisation and certificate issued. Around 40 euros or soGet a certificate to take away.

So, what’s the odds of Macron following Merkel on quarantine for UK visitors?
If Germany or France tested as many people per day as the UK I am sure their numbers would be similar or higher than hours (we are testing 10x more people a day than Germany) ..https://ourworldindata.org/grapher/positive-rate-d...
Although dates are a number of days old but you get the jist.

Did they announce the plan to allow people to dodge quarantine if they've had two jabs? Or just leak the plan?
I think they’ve just said they’re looking at it or it’s going to happen later.Pretty useless information to plan anything based on it though.
The thing is, once FCO advice is amended to no longer prevent non-essential travel to amber countries and the double-jabbed don’t need to quarantine, we suddenly have the industry back in the game again. Unless you’ve not had both jabs, there’s suddenly less to differentiate between green and amber destinations, from the passenger point of view.
By the time this quarantine exemption arrives (and I’d wager the travel industry applies pressure to govt to expedite the introduction of it), I’d have thought a majority of the under-30s will have had their second jab by then anyway, so the passenger demographic won’t be entirely skewed towards older age groups.

I wonder why no canaries or Greek islands there? I don’t suppose the N I released any info about their decision making?
I wonder whether the Balearics were added purely to appease the industry, a day after the Travel Day of Action took place. Given their status on the green watch, combined with this governments affinity for a U-turn, I’m half expecting them to “quietly” put the Balearics back on amber at the next review. Not wishful thinking, just a complete lack of trust in the government to actually help the sector. I hope they remain green however. The sooner we can have quarantine-free travel from amber destinations for the double jabbed, the better I say.
