Normally I'd say, with still 2 months of the current season to run it's too soon for the "next season" thread but let's face it, this season's a right off and I've already started looking at what's to come, rather than what I've missed so...

For me so far:
Mid-Dec - Tignes (planned)
Late Jan - Morzine (reservation carried over form this year)
Feb half term - Avoriaz (booked)

Space for a week in Austria in March me thinks...

1 week in Seefeld Austria @ March at this child friendly hotel which I hope will still be around:

https://www.aktivhotel-veronika.at/en/

Originally planned our first family winter holiday back on Mar20, but I pulled out due to the increasing CV19 infection rate, plus it didn't appeal been ill abroad down with Covid, and stuck in a hotel with 2 toddlers. Fingers crossed normality returns by 2022 season as it's our last chance for a 'cheap' ski holiday (outside of half term) before my oldest girl turn 5, and starts Y1 in Sep.

1 week in Morzine in Feb half term - chalet and flights booked.

Will probably start looking to book the lads trip soon - likely late Jan in Austria.

Not to the Hilton, but the Kitzbuhel area is great for skiing and the atmosphere.

We lived in Munich many years ago and usually went to the Kitzbuhel area to ski and in 2019 my wife and I returned (she's stopped skiing after breaking her knee, but still enjoyed the scenery).

I'd imagine, though, that Feb Half Term will be heaving, so expect queues, especially on the lift out of the town, which I assume is nearest the Hilton.

I booked a week in Saalbach-Hinterglemm a few months back, but canceled it when it became clear travel wasn't going to be possible - It's the next place on my list of places I want to ski, though - The downhill run looks pretty epic, a mix of Wengen and Kitzbuhel!

EDIT : Just had a look and the Hilton looks a long way out of Kitz centre - I think there's now a lift near where it is though, so that might help with the queues.

As I've mentioned in the past, I don't ski in Europe but head the other way to Canada for my mountainy snow fix.
I'll be surprised if the resorts in the Canadian Rockies or west BC will be ready to accept overseas visitors without restrictions as early as next winter/spring.

Hi, thanks for that. The Hilton is around 4 miles outside of the town itself but we've covered the full hotel cost with Hilton points. Going to fly into Munich and drive down.

xmas and NY in Chamonix...not strictly 2022 but we were supposed to be there in a few weeks and so I'm excited to be getting some snow...

Then the big one...two week holiday with the wife, sans kids, including about 8 days in Banff/Kicking Horse....any tips gratefully received!!

So as I’ve raised in the 2021 thread - and most of us winter sport folk have a few extra pennies.

Who is up for South America skiing this summer?

Good luck.

I think the good old way of driving U.K. to the alps/Pyrenees/ (and for the brave) Austria is likely the easiest and by far the cheapest way.

Banff last January/Feb. Had Feb/March booked this year but No Cigar.

Next year we will be hopefully heading back as I've transferred my booking deposit to 22. It will be a longer skiing holiday for sure and told the Mrs to be prepared :0))))

Some point would like to do Fernie then Banff on same holiday.

Love the Rockies for me no better place to ski even though its a 9/10 hour plane ride.

Thanks

Price isn't the issue, it's more whether or not we'll be able to travel. Thankfully deposits are fully refundable in the event that we can't

Don’t fancy the drive much.
Transcontinental in summer seems a stretch to be honest, from a pandemic, cost and distance point of view.

I doubt anyone will be doing that.

If summer skiing is on the cards there are plenty of glaciers in the alps, but I don't think summer skiing will happen.
