Farringdon folly?
Correct - thought I'd link from where I used to live to where I am now.

The folly opens for 2 Sundays a month through the summer, commencing 2nd April

https://www.faringdonfolly.org.uk/

part of reason for posting it - I am one of the 'friends of the folly' so one of the volunteers that open it for visitors. So if you are anywhere near, on an appropriate sunday, great views across Oxfordshire and beyond. On any other day, still a decent view, but less stairs.

That's in London. I remember driving past it a few years ago but I cannot remember a more precise location.

It was unless it's an old photo - and background doesn't look right

I just googled - apparently there was a scheme to rebuild it not so long ago, which must have put the notion in my head. Bigger, more grandiose than this anyway.

Photo taken Monday and has only been cropped to remove a clue.

Weak googling !

It was first an orphanage, then taken over by the Sally Army, until bought by LBH in the 70's.

Lived in a squat round the corner in the 80's, what a lark !

Sorry for the off topic nature of this question, but I'd never heard of that place, it's reasonably local to me and I'll probably come for a visit this summer. So thanks for posting. One question - cash or card on entry? It would be great if websites like yours would specify things like this, I can't be the only person who no longer carries cash unless I know it's going to be needed.

Blueg33 is up.

I’d never seen it before and I go by the end of the road weekly.
It’s being refurbished for a doctors surgery apparently.

I didn’t Google it though. It came up in a meeting with Clapham as we discussed re generating housing stock. There was a pic on the wall of the meeting room and I asked about it.
