The OP spoke about Sri Lanka, which is next to the Maldives and is also not really a 3 night destination...

Could “one” drive through France ( vaccine now not required) to Portugal (vaccine now not required) via Spain (vaccine still required) - would any Spanish official be any the wiser?

This is the thing that I am unclear on. Some information appears to mention the country you have entered Spain from and others make reference to your nationality, I.e. UK passport May be an issue?

Crossing a land border in a UK car May cause the Spanish to check paper work - who knows.

Anyway we are off to Croatia next week after changing the booking from Italy earlier in the year when Italy were still having a vaccine rule whilst Croatia didn’t.

Even better now since Croatia has no requirement for tests or paperwork - same as Hungary. Travel to Budapest was normal apart from the airport experience in the UK and having ones passport stamped on arrival and Departure in Hungary.

There was a website linked in another thread that had a live list of countries that had zero restrictions, including PLFs, masks etc.

Anyone got it? I had it bookmarked but seem to have lost it

I wouldn’t be too sure about masks. We went to Mexico with no tests or certificates but still were expected to wear a mask at the airport, walking from the check in of a restaurant (for 10 seconds) before sitting down and when boarding a boat (for 20 seconds, but not for the next four hours).

Just found that Thailand have dropped their requirement for vaccinated visitors only as of 1st May - unvaccinated will be required to provide a PCR negative result in the 72 hours prior plus purchase dedicated insurance.
