I wouldn’t be too sure about masks. We went to Mexico with no tests or certificates but still were expected to wear a mask at the airport, walking from the check in of a restaurant (for 10 seconds) before sitting down and when boarding a boat (for 20 seconds, but not for the next four hours).

There was a website linked in another thread that had a live list of countries that had zero restrictions, including PLFs, masks etc.

Anyone got it? I had it bookmarked but seem to have lost it

Just found that Thailand have dropped their requirement for vaccinated visitors only as of 1st May - unvaccinated will be required to provide a PCR negative result in the 72 hours prior plus purchase dedicated insurance.

Woohoo!! woohoo

I presume the PCR will be one that you send away and get the result back. What about the antigen test though - will it be one that they send and you do and text a pic of it to get a code sent back?

I read that a antigen test (LFT) within 24 hours will be acceptable………..

Indeed - and we are off to Croatia tomorrow so all good in the BVD household.

May now book our flights for our next trip to Fuerteventura when we get back as well.

Correct - one has to use a paid for one. However, if you are of that mind set, it would quite easy to fake a negative result……….. but of course the vaccinated who don’t have to undertake a rest may actually be positive.

Which just underlines the complete nonsense of it all.

Yup. Just makes one wonder why they do it of course.

I also think it's a bit nuts, but... is the rationale that the vaccinated are less likely to end up in hospital? Haven't looked at the stats for aaaaages but I seem to remember that being borne out by hospital admissions; something like 4 out of 5 (covid related) hospital admissions at some point last year were unvaccinated.

In Budapest atm and it's like 2019 normal.

No masks needed for the whole trip, there are some sanitiser stations but no one uses them or asks you too. Only because covid thing was that you had to bring or buy a towel for the thermal baths.

Just a note of caution on that - Germany stated they may put them back into effect on September 1, 2022, depending on the epidemiological status at that time.

Fantastic news!

Another one for the list is Vietnam - they dropped the requirement for testing before travel for everyone a couple of weeks ago.
