Breakdown cover madness

I was looking for single trip cover, to go to Le Mans. The car is 21 years old. Hardly anyone would touch it, but I did get a price of about £105 from the AA, for 7 days cover.
In the end, I rang my insurer, which is Admiral.
They covered the car for 12 months, for £89. Guess what, it was with the AA, with identical cover as I was quoted for the 7 days.
