We're looking to book a last minute week away in the next few days.
Is Lanzarote noticeably colder being a bit further North than the other islands? Or is there nothing in it.
I've stayed in the North of Tenerife in Feb and it was a good 10 degrees colder than the southern resorts although I imagine a lot of that is due to geography/topology.
I think it’s pot luck we r been to Lanzarote 5 times at this time of year and it has always been around 20-23 apart from one year when it was 25 +. Always a chance of wet though. Is Lanzarote noticeably colder being a bit further North than the other islands? Or is there nothing in it.

We are off to Tenerife next week.

Was looking to book Lanzarote for today but coming down with the flu.
We were looking forward to a last minute break but it wouldn’t be enjoyable with me coughing non stop with low energy.
There were some good deals with Jet2 holidays.

All Inclusive for 4 of us for £900 and change Inc flights and transfers.
Cheaper than a weekend at Centre Parcs.

Fuerteventura looking like wall to wall sunshine and early 20s for the next 2 weeks. Wish I was there :-(
It had better continue after that though - we go out for 6 weeks on 18 January Back at the beginning of February, running the mighty gauntlet that it might be as cold as 20 degrees...

Planning on hiring a villa over there for 2 adults in Feb 23, probably Lanzarote but not set in stone
Any recommendations would be great :-)

we have used these people and would recommend
Not noticeably cheaper than booking all separate but there’s far less of a faff factor when flights (with luggage), villa and car hire can all be booked in one place and they have a good selection of villas to choose from.
After yet another miserable Christmas here I'm definitely booking time away for the next one.
I'm a year into learning Spanish and fancy trying to find either a house or small family run hotel in Tenerife for a few weeks Dec/Jan.
Maybe the area above Los Gigantes as it seems very Spanish.
Any recommendations?

looking at going to one of these islands next summer.
we like to be by the pool but also go out and do some activities
any recommendations?
thanks
There are plenty of activities on most of the islands but if you grab yourself a hire car, you can go off and explore, to your heart's desire. we like to be by the pool but also go out and do some activities

Fuerteventura, for me, has everything in a resort and lots of places to visit outside of it.
But it rather depends on what you deem to be activities.
I'd vote for FV too.
Way less populated and far more laid back with a hippy/surfer vibe out of the resorts and stunning beaches compared with the other islands, but it's pretty much a bare desert rock and lacks the lush and varied inland scenery variety you'll find Lanzarote and Gran Canaria.
Probably enough to do on any island with watersports, boat trips and jeep safaris on offer but they ain't cheap.
Worth having a car and exploring wherever you go.

I've just had a week in Tenerife before Christmas returning on the 23/12.
Not a cloud all week and it was 23C.
I would thoroughly recommend the Roca Nivaria hotel - https://www.adrianhoteles.com/en/
For this December we are going back to La Palma. We should have gone in Dec 21 but the volcano stopped that one! La Palma is very unspoilt with lovely scenery.

Already having booked my 20th trip to Fuerteventura at the beginning of February, I thought the time had come to go back to one of the other islands in April. Bear in mind I am a karaoke god and like entertainment of some sort.
Despite much poring over Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife, the sums just did not add up, always paying far more for apartments in far worse sprawling locations, a bit of a walk from the beach in built-up or hilly locations with problematic parking.
I ended up booking my favourite Caleta de Fuste yet again, apartment in the centre, shared pool, for £200, the flight will be under £200 and the hire car is 119 Euros. If you skip the hire car, the bus is 1 Euro 40, either way and it takes 10 minutes. A holiday for two for under £500, plus meals, is pretty amazing in 2023 and allows yet another one to be slotted in.

The Canaries are spectacularly good value. A weeks winter sun is peanuts, and we're aiming to do it every year. We got a front line studio apartment in Tenerife last year for about £500. Flights were under £100.Despite much poring over Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Tenerife, the sums just did not add up, always paying far more for apartments in far worse sprawling locations, a bit of a walk from the beach in built-up or hilly locations with problematic parking.
