Funnily enough that was exactly my initial impression when I first saw it - exactly the kind of daftness that Victorians might have indulged in, but no not captive animals - disappointingly smile

It is a bandstand, yes. I was mildly disappointed that a great ape hadn't inhabited it at some point.

Coventry or Newark is my guess.

There are a few Vulcans that live outside, most are indoors.

If it’s the Newark one it’s the last but one Vulcan built. The Coventry one was delivered to 617 Squadron the Dambusters.

Sunderland Air Museum has a Vulcan, or at least it did when I last visited around 40 years ago.
