Somewhere in the Hardanger region?
No, nowhere near the coast. Quite the opposite.
Hardanger isn't anywhere close to the coast, did you mean to answer someone else?

I'm not familiar with the Hardanger area, so I had to search for it's location on google maps, which came up with a large 'region' towards the West Coast, hence my response.

Warmest so far, only 100km as the crow flies.

If it helps, this location is barely 45min drive from the Swedish border.

From looking at a map and triangulating your clues, is it Trysil?

Then we take random guesses - there can t be so many regions in Norway and he s said it s nowhere near the coast.

I was actually having a laugh when I mentioned the angle of the sun, but now I think about it, the sun never gets very high in the sky in Scandinavia in winter and it s not exactly on the horizon in the pic.

If the rules permit me to take another guess, I ll choose the bottom of Norway, in the middle somewhere about midway between Oslo and the coast.

If the rules don t allow me to make a second guess then I ll sit on the naughty step a while and think about what I ve done.
You can make as many guesses as you like. I have no idea why you would think otherwise.

Haha, yes, a really beautiful place and excellent holiday.

On an evening, we gazed out of the massive picture window from the comfy sofa, watching the snow falling heavily, the log fire was roaring and glasses of wine were in hand. Very cosy. It even a private sauna directly adjacent to the cabin, requiring a short but revitalising few steps across the snow to get there/back.

Utter heaven after a day on the slopes.

Well it looks like one of the many early warning radar posts intended to spot rooskie missuls coming over the pole. I believe they are mostly oop north so my guess is somewhere in Scotland.
