Rod recently mentioned his Marcos on Johnnie Walker's Sounds of the 70s. Sadly, his lasting memory was of the speakers not being secured and hitting the windscreen when he braked.

Then he moved on to a Lamborghini.

That was the Adams Probe 16, built by ex-Marcos designers, the Adams brothers.

I was fortunate enough to own the last GT to be assembled before the factory closed in 1972.

My car was the last of the 12 that used remaining supply of Triumph 6 cylinder motors.

These were taken in 2004, shortly before I sold the car to a chap from Germany who exported it. I've not seen or heard about it since.

Yet another car I regret selling, especially for what I sold it for!

Long shot I realise, but any info on my late brothers Marcos GT greatly received. It was a steel chassis Ford V6,so I'm guessing H or J plate. The picture was taken in Broadstairs,Kent. He had to sell due to fuel price hikes /Suez crisis around 1973.

Martyn-123 is yours that spec with Triumph Spitfire bonnet locks ?

That's a lovely looking car! Did it have an SAH engine?

More of that champion racer Marcos 1800GT.

Clean racer in front of the 'old' Tachyon Motorsport building. The GT was produced between 1964 and 1972.

There's not much weight due to plywood and GRP. Engine is the reliable cast-iron Volvo 1800 B18.

With 820 kgs and 180 ps in full racing spec this is a proper drivers car.

I wonder: did Marcos do LHD cars?

Forgive me, not up to speed on engine codes, but it was the original 2.5 litre, low compression unit on twin Strombergs.

I have had the John Noakes car BPD222H for a year and done over 3000 miles in it I have always put lead additive in the e5 fuel because although I have a detailed history of the car it does not show if the heads were ever converted to unleaded .
I have a copy of V5 in John’s name with lots of history so wondered if any previous owners are still on this site that my know if unleaded modification was done ?
