Sorry for going off topic, but, oh, strewth, a man in his position adopting screwed up English, from those incoherent colonials across the pond because he thinks it's trendy, is beyond out of order....
Carry on...
I agree, I hate " americanised" English, but is he definitely from these shores? Could be a yank working in the UK?Carry on...
Signed
We gave the proceeds of the Midget50 celebrations last year to East Anglia Air Ambulance, for which I thank all who came along (in the blimmin' rain) for making it possible
I was mildly shocked when we handed over more than £6½ grand to hear it would pay no more than the bulk of four or five callouts.
These guys need all the support they can muster, they work for us all, not just we Pistonheads on the roads
Thanks for putting out the notice of the petition

Cheers for signing up Bill and for helping to raise funds with others at Midget50

as the e-petition now has over 100,000 signatures it will be 'eligible' for debate in the House of Commons but it is not a given – so the more signatures the better
138,000 now and it ends 10th February 2013 so it would be good to get loads more signatures and less likely the Government could ignore it if it has a substantial number of signatures
if there were 1 or 2 million signatures it couldn’t go unnoticed – in this country how many motorists, pedestrians, cyclists, climbers, walkers, workers and inhabitants of more remote areas are there, more than 2 million
any of us or our family, friends, co-workers could need this service at anytime
so please spread the word let's have a snowball effect

What is a "publicly available fuel source"?
Thought aviation fuel was free from taxation?
And, if VAT is charged, why can't they reclaim it, like any other business?
Aviation fuel includes tax. Interestingly if you fill up in the UK and fly abroad and back (eg. a jolly to France), you can claim tax back from HMRC for exporting the fuel.Thought aviation fuel was free from taxation?

Publicly available fuel source means filling up at airfield pumps / bowser as opposed to using their own bought-in supply.
