Gor, why not build a caterfield around an engine from a hillman imp, then you could call it The Chimp hehe

I'm sure Baz will tell you that MPG isn't an issue.

If you get a sensible engine and stick to a low weight build, the fuel economy is great because you aren't tugging loads of weight along with you.

MPG wouldnt be my concern anyway, bloody Aero does 26-27mpg all the time frown

Would it be possible to fit an adjustable valve in the exhaust for noise? Like fezza's adjustable system.

Back in the super modified days of touring cars someone put a hillman imp shell on a F5000 car with a chevy engine.

That was the Chimp.

No.

Because the turbo impellor breaks up the exhaust pulses in to a hum. You wouldn't get any nicer sound from it by putting a valve in, just like the Ferrari system.

Surely weight isn't too much of a consideration, once ego monkey's 200kg of roid abused bulk is in there.

The drag coefficient of having a streamlined head should be a plus though.

It was a suggestion by the OH as shes all for getting one but doesn't like really noisy cars. Plus if i could silence it when it comes to early morning hoons to not annoy the neighbours it would be a plus smile

It's offset by the compact size of his roid-abused penis and balls.

I look and smell fking gorgeous today, poor Welsh girl has no chance.

/GB

Now in truth my last adventures with a valley dweller didn't end well so I maybe, perhaps a bit concerned excited about ending up in a random dungeon in South London.

No need for a silencer on a turbo diesel. The turbo does the job on it's own.

Weight saving. Innit.

I wouldn't have a diesel kit car to be honest. Far more interested in something that sounds less like a tractor tongue out
