Triumph Street Triple Motorcycle with every extra conceivable. Purchased before I failed my test. Decided bikes weren't for me. Complete waste of money.

Top of the range MacBook Pro. No idea how to use it. Only use so far = iTunes. I don't even surf the net on it - iPad does that. Completely stupid purchase.

Volvo V70R. Bought for a couple of grand as an interesting snotter. Did approx 200 miles in in in a year, gave it away. Complete waste of money.

Drinks for hot brunette in Farm Bar, Verbier, March. I was drunk. Her boyfriend turned up. Complete waste of money + I narrowly avoided a kicking (after calling him "a Eurotrash fatso").

I could go on, and on, and on. It's worrying.

Recently bought another TVR.
Told my wife I needed a better winter car than my Tuscan.
Not sure a Chimaera is going to be any better smile

Bought this even though I didn't really need it. It costs three times the normal one.

I don't need it - I wanted it - I didn't even try to say it was for my (6 month old) son. It was on offer at Amazon too.

I built it, modified it to take 2 vehicles internally - left it out to look at it and it's now in a big plastic box (built). With all my other ebay purchases..

Hotwheels.

They're not expensive and I only buy the ones I like but my Boy and I probably have about 50 between us.

I'm also a sucker for 1/18 die cast cars, mainly American muscle but I recently bought this...

Oh, and in the link in the OP, one little thing that bugs me, it's a 1000mW laser. So, one watt then. Isn't that easier to say?
Yep, probably would.

A thousand sounds like more hehe

I have a beautiful Raleigh Super Tuff Burner which sits gathering dust in the basement. I also recently purchased an equally beautiful longboard (skateboard) which I am only brave enough to go out on after dark so I don't look like a complete twit.

Do I need them? Of course not.

Do like the look of those lasers though......

It is stupidly powerful, quite frankly dangerous and completely unnecessary. I've been looking at it for months online and the other day I just caved, knowing that I was going to buy one eventually, so I may as well just "get it out of the way." silly
If that is seriously 1W output then it's bloody dangerous and capable of causing serious injury, even a reflection from a matte surface can blind someone, and in the UK it should have a key lock to prevent unauthorised use! Speaking as a former laser safety bod I feel obliged to say good effort, can I have a go? hehe (seriously though, be careful with the reflection, a lot of people don't realise how dangerous lasers can be)

Thanks for your input and I appreciate your concern smile

I am aware of the dangers of such a device, I think that is why I was so attracted to it hehe

I shall be taking all the necessary precautions and have bought a couple of pairs of the safety glasses suggested by the manufacturer and have no intention of doing anything silly with it, it will be used for playing about with at night outside (well away from flight paths and traffic) and burning stuff (safely). The reflection factor does worry me a little bit, but I have no intention of misusing it at all, I've had emergency laser eye surgery before and don't have any intention of doing some DIY on myself hehe

It does have the key lock and a couple of other safety features, here is a link to the manual:-
