I see from the Vampire Vape link above that they do a starter kit where you can choose 4 liquids. Is the equipment any good? How on earth would you choose a nice taste, they have some many weird names: bat juice, attraction, funky monkey confused

This is very complicated!

Having been reading reviews I think I am going to order this kit. It seems to get reviews as good as much more expensive products. At £37 it's more expensive that I thought I'd pay, but it's worth it if it gives a better experience than a cheaper unit.

https://www.pure-eliquids.com/xeo-void-vaporizer/

Do you think this is suitable? Mum isn't going to want one that's complicated or involves a lot of faffing around. The one she had before was a tiny one that looked like a cigarette, but that was a bad experience, though that was mainly due to the horrible taste.

Out of the flavours included with the Xeo Void, which ones do you think I should order? I was thinking about getting a normal tobacco flavoured one with the unit. Which one would be most cigarette like?

Then ordering a variety of flavours from here:

https://www.vapemate.co.uk/eliquid/eliquid-sample-...

I was thinking, butterscotch, cappuccino, coconut, menthol and Scottish shortbread.

I was going to get 3mg strength and 50% VG since she usually only smokes half a cigarette at a time and she doesn't seem to generate clouds of smoke usually. Also, it makes her feel sick when she smokes too much.

Looks like a decent plan Alex.

Can't comment on the ecig itself, as I've not used anything like that for a long while, but they're all much of a muchness.

If she's a light smoker then 3mg should be OK - it's worth noting that it is different to smoking, so initially is likely it'll cause coughing! Dry mouth/ sore throat is also common to begin with, so make sure she's away to drink lots in the first week or two...

Apologies if this has already been covered but will the new rules affect purchasing nicotine, PG, VG and flavour concentrates? I've mixed my own now for a couple of years and really don't want to go back to the hassle and expense of purchasing 10ml bottles!

By the way, what a fking huge waste of resources this will be - more packaging, more deliveries, more waste! Stupid, stupid EU decision. While on the one hand they're limiting cigarettes to a minimum size of 20 (increasing the minimum) they're vastly decreasing the amount of e-liquid you can buy in one single bottle. Not reducing the amount you can buy, just increasing the cost and waste involved in continuing to not smoke cigarettes. fking useless wkers.

Thanks. I didn't know about the coughing and sore throat. I googled it and apparently it isn't too bad with the low nicotine liquids. I don't think she tends to inhale particularly deeply anyway. The Xeo Void has airflow adjustment and the link below says it's best to have the airflow restricted for first time users to stop them coughing. I suppose the restricted flow stops the user sucking in too fast as elsewhere in the article it says it's best to inhale slowly.

Guys,

Having a bit of an odd issue. In the last 2 years or so of vaping I've never come across this..

I use an Aspire Cleito tank and have a Smok 22 Vape Pen as a back up. Last few weeks I've been using Element E Liquid Pink Lemonade (High VG) and have been vaping through the day.

I've managed to somehow break 3 different glass tanks. 2 on the Cleito and one this morning on the Smok. I haven't dropped, mishandled them or anything. They're standing upright on my desk and when I look, they're pouring liquid out and the glass tank is in 2/3 pieces.

Why could this be? Vape Band causing it? Or is it the liquid? I was led to believe that glass tanks don't suffer this issue and I've never had it with any other liquid. It's only been happening the last week or so. Never before that. Also been noticing that on both tanks the O Ring seals at the bottom are swelling badly, which means that the tanks pop out of place and dont go back in unless I hold it in place and screw them shut.

Really, really bugging me - Can anyone shed some insight?

These seem to have decent reviews - https://www.fogstar.co.uk/collections/frontpage/pr... - any thoughts?
I bought a couple last week for my Smok Alien (they look wicked!!!) but they're only used with my low power/high ohm mtl tanks and last 2-3 days before they need recharging so suited me for use in work (usually a triton mini with 1.8ohm coils @ 17w or rba builds around 1.5ohms) So nothing mad. Only rated to 10amps though so wouldn't use them for anything higher.

Can't really go wrong with the following:

LG HG2 (wouldn't go mad with these though)
Samsung 30Q
Samsung 25R
Sony VTC4
Sony VTC5
Sony VTC6

Fogstar also sells some 2500mah batteries which seem to get good reviews, I'll probably get these next.

I wouldn't skrimp on batteries, get some good ones from a trusted vendor. Fogstar's got an excellent rep, batteries came next day, well packaged in a plastic 18650 case, also come with spare wrap and battery safety info. This is how all battery vendors should send them. Really is 1st class service!!

Nic will be the biggest problem, VG/PG should be fine to buy, same with the concentrates. I bought 2x500ml 72PG nic bottles from dark star last month to store in the freezer. Should last me a while as I've dropped to 6mg now and use 3mg in my sub ohm tanks. Also bought some 5x 100ml amber bottles from Baldwins to use when I need to open the 500ml bottle then put these in the freezer and take out a bottle at a time, 10/30/50/100ml plastic bottles I get in bulk from ibottles.

I ordered 2x15ml and a 30ml and 3x30ml arrived so I suspect their stocks of 15ml have run out.
My colleague just had 600ml of the stuff turn up hehe

Fingers crossed they have sent me 30ml bottles instead of 15ml. Won't know until I go to the PO tomorrow.
I got mine today and four of the five flavours are rank and taste of virtually nothing frown
Agreed. Utter tripe.
I bought 15ml of each, peaches & creams and mint choc chip were nice enough. No complaints for the price but no way are they worth 5-7 quid I've seen in some places!!! Miles nicer stuff out there for that price.

Looking at the salt based eliquid now to use in my icare, meant to be good (but expensive!!!)

On the icare's....anyone thinking of one as back up I'd go for the normal icare over the icare mini, hardly any vapour with my mini even in the pcc with super dooper Vaporshark Minnow coils fitted. Normal icare was much better.

Not too impressed with these VS minnow coils either, cost 4 times as much as the eleaf ones and they're not as good. They've got much bigger juice holes for thicker juices but not doing much frown

Thanks - looks like I may need to stock up and reserve some freezer space then!

For those who make their own. Are we seriously going to be buying nicotine concentrate in ~10ml bottles going forward?

What an absolute farce.

Luckily for those that make our own there is a solution!

The laws preclude "tobacco related businesses" from selling nicotine in strengths over 10mg I think but if the company has nothing to do with e-cigs or tobacco they can sell it in any size and strength they want.

If anyone wants more info send me a PM - I'd prefer not to post publicly for fear that somehow the site will be affected, and I don't want it to be biggrin

Mouth to lung or cloudsssssss for days lung hits?

If you're happy with Aspire and want mouth to lung - http://www.ecigaspire.co.uk/shop.php#!/Aspire-Zelo... This is a solid kit and the battery will be good for any different tanks you want to try up to 50W

If you want direct lung big clouds I'd recommend the crown V3, it's getting great reviews and the V2 is a very good tank
http://www.ecigwarehouse.co.uk/authentic-uwell-cro...

Mods.. it's up to you really, dual 18650 would be best if Vaping over 50W simply because you'll find you need two batteries a day otherwise

I love the look of the Praxis Vapes http://www.gearbest.com/temperature-control-mods/p...

Sorry to hear that as I posted the link and also got bought 5 flavours, I'm enjoying all of them.

What flavours/strengths did you get as I'll buy them off you if they suit me.

Hey all,

I'm looking for a new mod as my Pico is looking a bit tired, probably gonna pair the new mod with the new Cleito Eco tank, has anyone had or got comments on the following?

Aspire Archon
Limitless Arms Race
Lost Vape Therion
HCigar VT167

Or any other recommendations for a dual 18650?

It would be the lost vape out of that four for me. Other contenders - SX Q mini can be had for £100 2nd hand; Dicodes box for circa £150 2nd hand. Depends on what quality you want and how much you want to spend, what kind of vape you like (power/temp control/high power/good battery life), and what kind of quality you want?

The Therion does look lovely

I just want reliability really, my Pico has lasted me fine with a Cleito on top, the new tank from them looks good and I'd like a dual 18650 now.

The limitless is looking very tempting, i can get it at a good price as well

I've been using the limitless arms race for the past 3 weeks now.

Used it with a Nautilus (with mini triton 1.8 claptons) for MTL, triton mini running a 1.2 for lower cloud dtl, a smok tfv4 running a sixtuplet at 67 watts and a smok tvf 4 running a quad up to 100 watts and smok tfv4 running titanium temp control coils - Batteries used as Sony VC4 18650's.

So what's to like; if you like military type kit then it is very cool - looks and feels like a AR clip - it's got a nice slight rubberised feeling texture at the top and all metal construction. it's very rugged, just don't tighten your tank too much as the raised lip guard makes it hard to remove, it's also fiddly to airflow on some tanks just to said raised lip. The controls are straightforward, good quality display - wattage steps in 0.5 and if you hold down it rips quickly through.

I upgraded from a aspire vvc pen type mod and it is significantly better for low wattage than cheaper mods, much bigger clouds. It powers the smok big coils well, battery life is pretty good - on sub 50 watt tanks i get over a days vaping on one charge, for 50 watts plus it drops off to about half a day - I bought a spare pair of batteries to keep a pair charged while using it and it's quick to swap out batteries. It fits nicely in your hand and the switch is robust and grippy - the sleeves are nice - i got the blue digi camo -it's a really well made item that looks high quality. I've been really pleased with it as a do-all tank that can cover all the tanks i own from mtl to cloud machines - the temp control works well - supports ss, nickel and titanium coils with a choice of joules mode and you can set the maximum ramp wattage to suit - you can chain vape well with it. Overall i'd recommend it - haven't done anywhere bear 200 watts but 120 was no issue - just make sure you use good high drain batteries - i got my sony's from vampire vape and they've been very reliable.

I love the looks and feel and it relegates all my ither mods to the draw so I'm planning to buy a spare - they are supposed to be releasing the sleeves as changeable but aren't on sale yet.

photos with the smok TVF4, a Triton 1, triton mini (black) and smok tvf4 mini for comparison of tank fit
