From Diechmann shoes in Cardiff 49 notes

Thanks for posting this, exactly what I was after. Part rugged, part casual. I just ordered these, 40 quid! Hope the quality is good.

ETA: I know they're not the same!

Pretty busy few weeks of shoe buying:

Rugged do any shoes which are amazingly comfortable.

New DM work shoes, excellent for exhibitions/days at the track & heal support for the ridiculous amounts of time spent in the car.

My new Kurt Geiger wedding shoes, wearing them around the house to bed them in for march.

Where I'm going, I need these:

Must say, they're bloody comfy but a bit hot for wearing around the home.

I'll let you know how they are. Don't usually buy online through fear of buying crap, but those look as if they're just what I want.

Or here's an idea - just accept people have differing tastes.

Forgot about this, I've had them for a month now and here is the verdict.

I got them in a size 10 and they were MASSIVE. I ended up driving to the nearest branch in search of a size 9. Good job I didn't order another pair because that was too big too, so I ended up with an 8! All of my other shoes, boots and even my snowboard boots are size 10. Very strange, there is no way they are actually a size 8.

Great pair of boots and no ones taken the piss out of me yet! Keeping my feet toasty warm and dry in this snow, and in the alps last week.

Cracking buy for £40 in my opinion.

Got some approach shoes for kicking about in and for doing some light mountaineering stuff, they are a bit garish but they keep my feet dry in the snow/rain...

Mainly this thread has taught me that some people do indeed buy some of those weird shoes I see in the shops.

It wasn't a dig at any particular footwear. I was meaning what might suit the younger man (and i am not meaning 12 year old... maybe 20-odd) might not be such for the over 30, 40 whatever; and vice versa. It would useful to know!
