Every bloke needs at least one good suit, preferably hand made for the bloke, but at the least well tailored.
What for?eta.

My problem is that at 40, I still dress like this 80% of the time:
I feel very self-conscious when I have to dress in a suit and tie.
But you are ok with that girly chalk dust bag? I feel very self-conscious when I have to dress in a suit and tie.

I went out shopping today. At least in SW London, it seems the girls dress like girls... and the boys dress like girls. I shall do it more often as I feel very masculine. I did have to look away so as not to laugh at young men wearing Tinkerbell trousers. And as for the couple wearing matching trousers (skinny jeans)...

i should qualify here, i do own smartish things, however left to my own devices i generally slob about in trainers, knackered jeans and t-shirts.
Reiss - aware, not been for a while, will check
Zara - always thought their things were a bit weird, and they don't fit me
Debbos - like next for me, not sure why, but i don't feel i'm quite there yet...
supermarkets - not really what what i was looking for, cheers all the same
as it happens i was going to a GQ event at selfridges in manc tonight, so whilst mrs 2cv was smashing the free cocktails and chatting up the male-jail-bait staff i was beavering about and got a couple of pairs of jeans, a coat and a jumper. Happy days.
job - IT consultant (no not an assistant in PC world, like an actual one!)
school - stty comp, stty college, BSc leeds uni, MSc leeds met
location - erm, cheshire... not the footballer bit, but not quite the farmer weird bit either
shotgun - i won a clays comp recently... don't own a gun though!
dog - none
car - Jag XF
have been eyeing up the idea of having a tailored suit for a while... one day soon.
grey fox blog - like it, cheers for that
as for shopping on the web - i can't be arsed with having forced 'assistance' in shops constantly, and being looked up and down... maybe that goes with the occasional scruffball image.
