there was a thread a year or 2 ago on here about a free sample of very expensive aftershave, I got some but my daughter decided to knock it off the sideboard

Anyone got any idea of what this aftershave was called

My favourite since the age of 16. Proper stuff for proper men. But then I do have a very hairy chest and a large gold medallion hanging around my neck.

I currently have three, Boss Orange (I think, the one in the ball), Issey Miyake L'Eau D'Issey and Prada.

Can't say I know how to choose something that suits, I just pick what I like if I'm in Boots.

The one in the ball is Boss in motion. Boss orange has a clear glass bottle

Diesel Plus Plus smells lovely if you can get it. Got a bottle last year and I'm trying to save it. If not wearing that one I've got Armani Code and a Joop! one on the go.

Issey Miyake (in all variants) is horrible.

To me it smells like a cross between 'toilet cleaner' and 'mould'.

Thankfully it's fallen somewhat from favour compared with the mid-1990s when the entire City reeked of it.

The smell of the Waterloo and City Line in the morning - Issey Miyake and farts! yuck

Aside from Boss and Armani, The Cartier ones are normally pretty good. £80 ish a bottle though, and the only place I've found that sells it is John Lewis.

Of course, and she buys a lot of what I wear, she knows the style of fragrance I like.

I bought it when it first came out, and used it for a while. Bought a bottle a couple of years ago...one squirt and it's remained sealed in its box ever since. Funny how even sense of smell evolves.

Swarfega EDT for me now.

I used to use one called Mark Cross, but not seen it for years. Has anyone got any info on it?
