A few more from over the years:

Saw Phil Taylor at East Midlands Airport waiting to board a Ryan Air flight to Tenerife, he was really pushing the boat out as he was in the Priority Queue!

Worked on Anna Soubreys house in Nottingham years before she was an MP, she was still at the time a QC and a presenter for Central Weekend, actually a really nice lady back then, really friendly and chatty with all the Tradesmen working on her house, one day whilst there it was her daughters 3rd Birthday and she brought a slice of birthday cake out for us all!

Worked on the set for the Joe Longthorne show at Central Studios, Nottingham, he lived up to his heritage, the guy was a complete prick!

My Father in law used to be a cabby, he picked up Beryl Reid, he said she was a lovely lady, but tight as fk, gave him a 5p tip!!

Met Andy Reid of Forest, Tottenham, Sunderland fame in the Nottingham Forest players car park, he was still to really make it at the time and was driving a 206CC...I asked him if his Missus minded him borrowing her car!? I had been in hospitality all day so was a bit worse for wear! He did see the funny side and we had a good laugh.

Surveyed Andy Townsends house for roof repairs when he was at Villa, really nice, receptive and genuinely funny guy...Never got the job tho!

Sat next to Rory Underwood at a Charity Gala...You could tell he really didn't want to be at the event and striking up a conversation with him was like pulling teeth, conversely the other Guest Speakers, Henry Cooper RIP, and Dennis Taylor where superb, Dennis Taylor is a very very funny guy, really approachable and nothing seemed too much for him.

a had a tweet "liked" by the writer of Chicago Fire.
(I asked him if the fact that they were called Station 51, was a nod to Squad 51 from the 1970's show "Emergency")

That reminds me. Went to watch Hull City v Yeovil Town in season 2003-04 which was also World Cup Final day in Rugby, Jonny Wilkinson and all that.

Stopped at the services on the way up/back and stood at the urinal when Austin Healey walked in for a wee. I was stunned as I'd thought he was in Australia as squad back up but a mate told me he had flown back before the Final as he wasn't needed.

I knew she'd qualified as a barrister but a QC? She seems dense even by MP standards.

Sold some plants to Rula Lenska and Dennis Waterman when I had a weekend job in a garden centre.
Was partially hypnotised by Paul McKenna, then got distracted and snapped out of it.
Had a chat with Bill Giles the weatherman about measuring ground temperature.

Best of all, I once stood behind Steve McFadden in a queue for the cashpoint.

Memories I'll cherish always.

The next time I saw her in person was when I was on Jury Service and her Chambers where Prosecuting, I was going to wave but I thought that might not go down too well with the sitting Judge!!

Emily Thornberry was a barrister (surprised me too!) until 2005 when she was elected to Parliament. Assuming the above is correct, I suppose she wasn't made QC as she stopped practising (and of course to maintain the prestige of being a QC hehe )

Saw Frank Lampard at Bosporus Kebab in South Kensington some years back. It was a match day and he was on the bench. He seemed a bit moody when my friend said hello

Man's got impeccable taste in 'bab shops

Johnny Something off Coronation Street (the one who owns the Rovers) held the gate open for me at Yorkshire Sculpture Park.

Tasmin Archer gave me an old sofa when I got my first flat.

Saw that bloke from rogue traders - the Portuguese one who got sacked for fraud - in a pub one day. I exclaimed "Oh you're the bloke from rogue traders!" He got quite excited that someone recognised him. I followed it up with "didn't you get done for fraud?" Whilst laughing. To which he stopped smiling and gave me a 'I'll kill you' look.
