I had to wait 15 minutes for my espresso machine to heat up this morning as the WiFi enabled switch that controls it lost its connection.
I had to turn it on by actually pushing a button and then wait for it to heat up!
What kind of peasant buys a espresso machine that takes 15 mins to heat up? My Gaggia takes 2 minutes max, that's barely enough time for the help to grind the coffee.
I used to have a Gaggia...

Then I upgraded.
If you're waiting 15 minutes for it to warm up, thats a downgrade.

Professional, plumbed in machine with a Faema E61 group-head and 4 litre boiler.

The closest thing Gaggia makes to my Fracino Bambino is the GD One, which isn't plumbed in so needs refilling, is only 1650W compared to my 2700W and so takes longer to heat up, isn't Faema E61 compatible and uses a basic vibration pump instead of my rotary one.

Granted it may take a little longer than your little domestic machine, but time to heat up isn't a significant criteria for my coffee machine selection

Criterion.

Sorry, I know I'm being an annoying prick but it's one of my pet hates.

Not annoying at all, thanks for the correction. I've not been picked up on it before and now I know

I'm flying BA First 3 weeks today. At present I have the cabin to myself. I'm getting stressed somebody else may book & I have to share the cabin.
It'll be one or more people using the staff friends and family discounts.
Fortunately my 1st world problem didn’t materialise. Just the 2 of us! It was quite adequate. Made even better by them holding back the hordes in the lower classes in the plane as we got off & even delivered the baggage 1st!

My WIFI connection went down the other day. I was not able to lie in bed and ask Alexa to turn my kettle on.
I only use Alexa to turn the coffee machine on and off if I've somehow managed to confuse the scheduler. The Wemo switch on the coffee machine is also linked to the NEST so it comes on when I come home and turns off when the NEST goes into 'away'/eco mode.

Often. There should have been a comma after use. Or a semi colon; or a colon, I'm confused now.

got rugby-tackled by this FWP today

https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/face-id-does-...

Polarised RayBans block the eye-tracking light used in Apple FaceID, so I had to take my sunglasses off to FaceID my new iPhone XS Max when out and about in a balmy London today. This caused me massive problems when trying to casually browse facebook and walk out into traffic, google maps when trying to get somewhere I probably could have remembered how to get to if i had been paying attention previously, and then obviously scanning through the underground barriers, with sunglasses on indoors.

The worst day of my life.

Wrong thread - the metal pull ring on my lunch-time tin of sardines broke off. I had to use a tin opener and by the time it was open, my toast was cold. FML.

there is a fine adjuster in the clasp, if it has a bracelet (and of course, if it is a genuine item)?

My mum gave us a cheque for a few quid and messaged me this morning:

'Can you pay the cheque in soon to get it out of my account. Too much in there!!!'
