I had no dry oak smoked streaky bacon in for my signature "Pancakes with maple syrup, bacon, blueberries and squirty cream" last night and had to use the artisanal Prosciutto from my local european specialist supplier*.

Lidl Prosciutto? I'll see your Lidl Prosciutto and raise you Household Bargains Himalayan Pink Salt. It was the only place in town who had any.

Don't worry, I went in disguise.
Pink salt = some guy in the factory cut himself in packing. hehe

They have to treat kids in the Himalayas for goiter because of iodine deficiency in the salt from that region.

Suggest you buy common iodine enhanced salt for your health's sake, despite what it may do for your social standing.

I think the first world problem is having to take the puppy to therapy due to the exploding toilet rolls.

one of my favourite things to buy is the pomegranate scented candles from ASDA/ALDI. I like to light it in evenings as part of chilling out...

..however I'm pretty sure the one i recently bought has no pomegranate scent. I've had it burning for at least 5 hours over the past couple of days and cannot smell any pomegranate. so sad. :-(

Reminds me of a review I read for scented candles:

"Rip-off, no scent"
Retailer's reply: "Please get a COVID test ASAP"

I drove my Hyundai Ioniq today after several days of driving my Tesla.
I kept on switching on/off the wipers whenever I meant to put it in drive/reverse.

I can’t read “black and white” as B&W anymore, because I always read it as “Bowers & Wilkins” due to my interest in high end hi-fi.

Cue much confusion earlier when, in my head, I was sneering at someone for talking about their “B&W TV”

“There’s no such thing!” i thought, laughing to myself at how much of an incompetent fool and liar this person was.

Then only it dawned on me they were referring to a black and white TV.

If i had to be pedantic, Philips offers TVs with a Bowers & Wilkins branded in built stereo. But obviously, it’s not the real deal.

Looking at the Rolex Bubbles disaster and realising many adult males wear watches way too large for their available wrist real estate. Most would have their needs met by a studio, but most choose to go full mansion. It's like wearing trousers 4 sizes too big, or shoes a couple of sizes up. It just looks wrong, but many people do the shoes thing.

Major first world problems here.

For me, finishing up all the Easter chocolates.

I remembered to bring some more aeropress filters in to work the other day as I was getting low but just went to refill my coffee tin and found I'd run out of ground coffee!! Luckily I have some emergency Nespresso capsules to get me through the day, otherwise my only option would have been to walk downstairs to the coffee shop.

get a decent metal filter. You'll never look back! They let more of the oils through and produces a noticeably nicer result.

+1 to the metal filter.

My hardship has been that when I walked upstairs to ask our in house barista for a coffee, he apologised that he was out of my favourite guest beans so I had to settle for the standard ones from Extract.
