Just wondering what the highest mileage people have seen on an E46 330 petrol. My 330ci sport is up around 162K. I seem to recall seeing one in classifieds with 200k on.
I intend to run mine until it dies.
Any pics of mileometer to prove high 330 mileages?

Never seen anything that high on a 330 but I would imagine if you look after it, pretty much forever. Given that you are on here you probably do look after your car more so than joe blogs so you might have that car forever!

I'm on 141k - the engine will go on forever, it's the rusting bodywork that will crumble around it.

I sold an auto one on 170k and my previous manual is currently owned by a friend and on 180k.

Its had nothing other than an oil change in the last 30k!!

Mine's no where near that high (101k miles)

But its such a great engine, it actually runs like its brand new and you can't hear it on tick over

Never had an engine run so well especially over 100k

So in actual fact there all probably over 300 odd as most of them would of been clocked more than once at some point

My dad has an X5 with the same engine that has 199,500 miles. The 330i touring we had from new did over 150k trouble free. Original cooling system somehow too!

I've seen a 325i with 250. My diesel hasn't done that many:

My 330i touring, albeit an E91 with the N52 donkey has 181k on the clock, is still going strong and sounding sweet. Surprisingly, it uses virtually no oil. In comparison, my old E46 330i liked a bit of the black stuff.

I posted in this topic back in 2014. Mine is now on 185k so Ive only done 10k in two years but it's still going strong. A little rustier though!

Kept mine until 186,000.

Still ran (pretty much wink) like new.

A bit rusty also.

It was a very very good car.

Mine is a youngster at 112k miles. I too will keep it until it dies or gets hit by someone else and written off (slight sour grapes, my e36 328 was still going strong at 172k).
They are good cars and if maintained properly, should last forever. I'm sure that people are bored of me extolling the virtues of my e36 that survived on very little more than having the routine inspections/service at the local Indy.
