It seems to me that if a mod is clamping down on a thread in which PH'ers clamp down on the worst of PH, the battle has been lost for the mods. And PH as a whole, actually.

Not good all round, really.

It's a funny old world, we can no longer make comments that might upset somebody on here, yet over on the Cliff Richard thread all sorts of people are being labelled as potential paeodophiles/ molesters.

Not a single report.

If you think it bad, why not?

Well after being preached to about the rules and saying things on here that might be deemed offensive, you are allowing potentially naming and shaming on that thread.

I know you don't read every post but don't tell me you are not keeping a close eye on that thread, which means you are effectively condoning the naming of individuals with no evidence other than dislike or wild speculation.

You miss my point.

You think that posts are inappropriate. Presumably you also think they are someone else's problem as you've done nothing about it.

Yet you then complain nothing has been done about them.

The report button is 1 click. 2 with the submit.

If you can't even extend that much effort, why write paragraphs bemoaning nothing has been done?

What's happened on this thread is getting too personal; and is putting people off posting on PH, in fear of getting slagged off in here for whatever reason.
I would say that posts like this:

How come doctors / surgeons / engineers etc need to hide in a shipping container to come over here?

Oh that's right, they are third world scuzzers who are just dragging the UK down to their non existent standards of living.

Perhaps if we prevented people like this receiving any benefit at all, in fact a massive overhaul of the system would / could make life a lot better for UK residents who actually contribute by working and paying taxes as it's those people who find it hardest to have kids as they are trying not to be a burden. There's no point breeding the lazy and the feckless.

I wouldn't give a fk if all 35 were dead. I'd have lorries drive thru gas chambers if I could. (Not very PC I know)
Are probably more likely to put off new visitors than the bulk of this thread.

The thread itself is also quite cringeworthy generally, so I suppose I've killed two immigrants with one stone.

That's just a typical PH news forum thread isn't it? biggrin Every so often I ban myself from it. But I just cant help going back to see if it's changed.

I have no desire to report the other thread, you know what is going on over there. My point is that curtailing this thread whilst leaving that one running in the way it is seems like double standards, and very inconsistent modding.

I'm just playing devil's advocate really, but isn't the problem that people are taking the mickey out of other threads, rather than joining in with them? Wouldn't the grown-up thing be to tell people on those threads what you think of them?

That is clearly not the one belonging to Chunj.

This one has the later carbon fibre monacle holder installed, (you can just see the reflection of it in the streetlight casing above)

I believe this is chassis number 7208.7 which was rebuilt in 04 after being drifted rather enthusiastically.

Oh, just a few things might lead one to that particular conclusion.
