This. The way they have done it is the worst option. It's a working draw that doesn't work.

search for "under basin drawer", there are tidy examples there. That's all they need to do....

I have just fitted a similar in one of our shower rooms, the drawer has a cut out designed to fit perfectly over the waste, that cabinet is not designed to have a sink fitted onto it so has been butchered.

You can get a trap fitting that returns the waste pipe back to the wall before the trap
