I think the male equivalent is the compulsion to classify and list things - taxonomy, bus timetables, train numbers, or car registrations. Take your pick.

I'd say such an age difference matters significantly less than incompatible sexualities and/or libidos if that's a factor.Age by the clock is one thing, maturity levels and personality quite another, if they fit, they fit.
Havent posted for a while due to a bit of a lean spell...we cant all live in the big smoke with seemingly limitless numbers of single women on tap!! No tales of woe or even anything exciting, just my recent dates so far...
Had a date a couple of weeks ago, nice enough but was one of those "im dating because the kids are at their dads and I hate being on my own" types!! Note to self - don't even bother arranging a date if they say that!!
Then, like buses, I get chatting to 3 at the same time...Got a date with No1, absolute stunner in the flesh, great company, intelligent, good job, funny too...lining up a 2nd date for Monday!!
Contestant no2 - only chatted on the phone, work commitments means its difficult at the moment to arrange a date.
Contestant no3 - texting/chatting, wants to meet up, but again our schedules are making it difficult! Lives out in the country where theres limited mobile coverage so resorting to emails!
Dating can be fun but its bloody hard work sometimes!!

After having a few short term relationships after becoming single 18 months ago with women I've been introduced to by friends of friends and one that I happened to meet in a bar things with the latter are rapidly turning sour after a few months (mainly due to conflicting schedules - she works shifts). Sooooo after much deliberation I'm finally of the opinion I need to give this on-line dating lark a try... Any on-line idiots guides to profiles etc or words of wisdom for a 42 year old who last dated proper over 20 years ago....??
