In light of all the stringent emissions targets and stuff in London, particularly for commercial vehicles, how can Pimlico plumbers get away with running a load of T4 Transporters? Can’t tell the age of them because most of them have private plates but there’s no way a T4 could meet Euro 6 emissions regs is there?

What's dancing all about ? A relic of getting worked up for a war, or a mating ritual or what ?
A vertical expression of a horizontal desire.

Going all evolutionary biologist for a second, I think it's a physical demonstration of health and fitness and rhythm.

Just as a sense of humour shows a potential mate that your brain works well, being a good dancer shows them that your body works well.

It's just a bit of showing off, I think. Chicks dig good dancers. That may also be why most blokes instinctively hate good dancers - they can unconsciously sense their advantage. (and good dancers are generally aholes, as we know).

Why did the binary forex scammers thread get deleted (called something like "21yo earning £30,000")? Was fascinating and informative. Exposed a shady world to scrutiny.

Moved to moderators forum, so presumably something went a bit too far. Perhaps it'll be back.

It got a bit doxy in places but mainly seemed to be exposing those who are happy to sign people up to services that will empty their account.

Hopefully it will be back.

Mine mostly get eaten. I've started using stainless steel bodied fountain pens to prevent this now biggrin

Yes I work on my own. Would you like me to send you some so you can marvel at them?

What are the purpose of the scissors that have a comb in one of the blades at the barbers?

To thin the hair rather than cut it back.

The comb controls how far away from the scalp the blade cuts the hair, a bit like the grade heads on clippers but changing the angle of attack alters the distance allowing for smooth graduation.

How does my FitBit know I've gone to bed?

How does it differentiate between me slobbed out in front of the telly and laying in my bed?

Why is it that people with old injuries/dodgy joints/metal pins say that it hurts more when it's damp? I get maybe when it's really cold, but how can the damp affect something that's sealed inside the body. Does it do it when it's warm and damp ie humid in tropical places, or is it just that cool damp weather makes us feel the cold more so it's really just the temperature that affects it?
Quoted as I'd like to know that too.

Old breaks in toes and knee definitely ache more in cold and damp. To the extent that for the knee in below zero I have to wear long undercrackers, ie thermal long john base layer, which extra claddiing can lead to betty swollocks, too much information, sorry.
You want some leg warmers, FiF! Basically long johns without the crotch bit.

They should be offered to the local museum!
