I was just browsing, honest. The next thing I know, I receive this email:

Damn, i'm just about to sell my combo. Just don't use it any more.

But i remember when i bought it cos i didn't need it, and a racing drone. It's a slippery slope.

Yes... that was from a DJI P3 pro. I now have a P4pro, (which has a better camera).

Check out the video from the p3p... looks astonishing in 4k

Looks great, when's the best time to visit the area, weather / midges wise please?

I've driven through Scotland once and would love to go up the west coast camping with the family, but scenes of people covered head to foot in netting puts me off taking the kids...

Avoid mid June to end Sept. Perfect here at the moment, no midges, sod all traffic:

From now to the end of May, not many midges, not as much traffic (Skye is already getting busier but not manic yet) and the weather is generally better than in August.

You need to remember that there are loads of different types of midge, the ones that arrive in July/August are the real bds. Either side of that are annoying but less of a trouble.

I just drove 4 miles and saw 5 cars.. so it is fairly busy for April (not being ironic there). Last month I wouldn't have seen a single car.

Anyway...sorry this has derailed the topic.

My latest frivolous purchase (though I have MUCH better cans on it!):

As you were.

Now they take me back, I had both copies, the first was early '80's and is still in the loft, the second was late '80's, maybe 87/88? Guessing obviously.

The next year I'm sure it was the Bigwig or Porsche 959 (I still own and have its box, manuals, spares) on the cover. I used to read those like a bible!

Same goes for the yearly model catalogue they did.

Offer to foster a couple of kids for a week as "respite care" and use them as decoys. Cover the family in insect repellent but not the foster kids, maybe tether them to a tree outside your tent? Or is that not frivolous enough? confused

Haha, glad to have invoked a bit of nostalgia. You might want to dig them out the loft, don't ask me what I paid for these redface have a look on Ebay, you'll be shocked at what they go for now!
