anyone eat toasties?!?!? anyone got a perfectly good toastie machine at home?!?!?

well if you like toasties, like taking 10 times as long to make, only able to cook one at a time, loads messier, loads of wasted bread.......... but want to almost set fire to your house while cooking one of the hob in your house then you need one of these in your life:

I give you the 'diablo'
rofl

Sounds like a perfect Amazon review to me. smile
Doesn't it just.. and yet the reviewers seem to love it!

Do none of them realise that Breville toastie makers now come with removable plates that you can wash separately to avoid the issues they used to have?
We have a panini press, does the job perfectly, plates done remove but its easy to clean!

However for the campervan we could do with something like the diablo that wont make a fking mess, any ideas?

I've been considering a pair for a while since trying them in duty free, after reading this thread it made up my mind and I finally caved and bought a set of qc35ii's tonight myself.

Flying on Friday so will be a good chance to test them out smile
How much are they in duty free?

£290 at Gatwick North on Sunday, price at Schiphol on Friday was similar to Amazon though.

We use our George Foreman grilling thingy for toasties, butter the outside of the bread and it makes the most perfect ones ever.

Very true, I just prefer a nicer toasted sandwich than the ones with crimped edges and molten lava disguised as cheese in the middle smile

They're normally well priced in the Bose outlets.

The new Sony model is the MDR-1000XM2 - not sure if they address the cracking issue mentioned above.

This. And if you pester them, you'll likely get an extended warranty. I got 3 years on my QC35 from the Duesseldorf Bose store for no extra charge.

Interested to hear what you think of it, one of the contenders when my contract ends.

Made by LG I believe - comparing it to the LG V30, it almost feels like Google asked LG "make us a stter looking version of your next flagship phone"

Appears to be extremely frivolous, as there's a similar one available on Amazon for £4.17 inc. delivery

Probably on Aliexpress as well, but I did 'need' it next day and this is one of the larger ones. I'm trying to be unfrivolous this week so I can be extremely frivolous at the Metallica merch stand next weekend 😳

Hahahaha.

I bought one of these a year or so ago - your review is entirely accurate. I used it about 3 times.

I would add that the 'toasties' themselves, when made, are about the size of beer mat and there's just one of them. A large biscuit.
