Lost a peg from an Ikea shelf? Chances are there is a print for it.
Thanks for the reminder. Bekant lock pin in my case. Extruder and bed heating now.
And done and fitted.

I actually like those circuit pictures, I very nearly bought a wooden one actually, I wasn't mocking that.

I was going to get a wooden one but the FIL said he'd print me one instead...still going to get a wooden one at some point though.

Now all this talk of mounting and wooden ones, Gary's head must be expoloding laugh

I'm very easily amused, which works in my favour on this site silly

I'm an idiot.

So far, I've spent about £250 on the printer, filament and some cheap upgrades. I think I'd like to spend about another £50 on getting it remote controlled via Raspberry pi (the fact I'm even contemplating this is a damned strong indicator how relatively straightforward I've found it so far).

All depends on what you want to do - I'd like to be able to make some really intricate, detailed and high quality models - but that'll need a resin printer that comes in at around £500. For the hobby/household/silly stuff, the ender 3 is fine for me.

A Raspberry Pi 4

Not very frivolous, you say? Well it is when I already have three lying around, albeit older ones and this was to be a replacement for a 2011-vintage HTPC which was really struggling with modern apps, so I figured the grunt and RAM would be handy.

Still not sounding frivolous? Well, it turns out Kodi, despite assurances, is still a load of amateur, clunky crap and there's little chance of me getting it to work in a family setting without a lot of effort. I swear XBMC running on my original Xbox was slicker...

Into The Drawer it goes.

I tried xbmc/kodi on a pi previously and like you found it woefully inadequate. It would play media but interfaces where clunky and unusable. I've stuck with running on PCs but after testing it on a phone I tried the Android version on a T95z TV box. It's been very usable and stable so far I can't recall the spec but I went for the model with more RAM/ROM

Why do people feel the need to make comments like this? Totally uncalled for imho. I'm sure some of the stuff you get could be looked at in the same way rolleyes

It was a joke about being 'mounted' laugh obviously funnier in my head than written down.

Frivolous?

scratchchin

I used to have a small trailer and a separate bike trailer and this was quite cheap.

Also had a day out to the seaside to collect it.

I need some new tyres and a jockey wheel and a few dodgy light just needed a few new bulbs.

Should't have clicked that email. Now soon to be the proud owner of an Aldi robot vacuum hehe

It's Home & DIY week, so strongly advise you to NOT go on the website or in store.

I spotted that, too.

SWMBO could well be making a frivolous purchase.

I’m flying out of Manchester airport soon so today received the usual email off them offering 10% off in their shops on departure. I’ve got several sets of headphones but I’ve not got some AirPods...

Intrigued, tell me more.

Having been round Harrods today and seen a Eufy one for £279 I could be tempted.

I could link to the Aldi site, but for your own good I won't. I didn't even know they sold cordless pressure washers nowadays, would be so convenient to wash the car with... or cordless paint sprayers, have some decorating coming up as well... Must resist!!

The vacs will probably be sold out soon I imagine.

p.s. Harrods dumbing down now? Imagined they would only stock £800 Roombas. Poor form.
