I don’t need a leaf blower in general as I have a company cutting the grass and cleaning up in Autumn. Even if I did, I’ve missed the season now the leaves are covered in snow. But, stuck a bid on one and didn’t expect to win.

This is going to be a tough one to explain to the wife.

4 foot long, 2 stroke, noisy blow job? What's hard to explain?

Only option is to buy one of the inflatable kayaks from earlier in the thread to make a hillbilly jet boat and take her on a romantic 2 stroke cruise...

Would make sense. Nice bulbs actually. They released a filament bulb before Hue did, which I needed for this guy (not especially frivolous but raised an eyebrow from the other half). Works perfectly with Alexa and even appears within the Hue app. I'd buy them again.

Can I just confirm the lamp came from TK Maxx ? My wife would absolutely love that, guess I'm going hunting today for it

Surely there need to be more than two strokes to qualify as 'romantic'?

I picked one of these up in the Amazon Black Friday sale. It's epic

Awesome, got pics of it setup? I assume you play games on it, whats it like?
I don’t use it for games, I work from home most of the time and lots of screens makes things easier.

Margins were a bit down in Jan 19, was it a bad month?

Spanish 17th century nine-pound bronze cannonball found by a lobster diver on a reef.

I have absolutely no need for it. I now own three cannonballs, none of which I need.

That’s why you need a cannon.

Oh forgot. I just recently bought a painting of a Fox dressed as a hunter made to look aged.

And a dog lamp.

Yeah, I’m not a teenager anymore.

You can get nixie kits on eBay using the cheaper in12 tubes I got one for about $95 US unfortunately my soldering skils are cack and I still need to diagnose why it isn't working properly, I've bought a cheaper ready made board to use instead that just requires soldering the sockets on and then the tubes fitting. That came from Ali express.
Put the sockets on the tube, then put the sockets on the board. This is more difficult than it sounds. Then solder in place. Otherwise you'll be spending ages adjusting each socket to get the tube in. It's the most awkward part of the build.

The site I linked too has IN-12 kits from about £57 with tubes.
I prefer the look of the vertical standing ones though and wanted 6 tubes so the seconds would be shown. The kit I get comes with an expensive case, power supply and GPS receiver to keep the time accurate. I think it's about £120 without that.

Sorry Gaz, only just seen this.
Yes he is a TK one, but he was a bit hard to find in October so I think you'd be lucky to drop on one now. He never appeared on the website either sadly.

This really would be a frivolous purchase for me, I'd have to factor in the cost of the divorce.
biggrin Bless him he's a bit fab. I fell in love with that lamp in TK Maxx and stupidly didn't buy it. When I went back it had gone. He drove me to a store the other side of the county to get the one they had in there. He hates it obviously, but appreciates my love for all things weird and wonderful haha
He's a keeper

I have one - although marketed as 'Bagotte' - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07N1GF1KZ/ref...

It doesn't replace proper vacuuming - but it's pretty good.

Cheers mate, yes its class. Underneath it is spiritual healing and also leprosy. I've had them all on vinyl since they came out originally but wanted to add the cds so I could listen to the stuff in work too. I do have spotify but it's just not the same...biggrin
