More "Old crap" I don't need.

Some old Marantz gear to go in an old car, at some point, probably..

Got some fake lego, will likely arrive from China after lock down, and I'll never find the time to build it...

I got my son the moody kit for the new-shape Defender for Christmas. It's bloody brilliant! Really good quality.

£55. And a 'delivered in 8 days' guarantee too. After 14 days I appealed to Ali Express who refunded my money. It arrived the next day biggrin

As well as loving the RC engine rabbit hole I am heading down the vintage ICE route like yourself; I got hold of one of those stalk-like/swan neck Blaupunkt graphic equalisers with the VU meters Blaupunkt BEQ-S) a few years ago and the shutdown has made me source the correct amplifier as well as a service manual for the equaliser.

Does it count if its not for you?

I've been a bit bored so I've been using https://uk.potatoparcel.com/ to send potatoes to people with my face on it....

https://uk.potatoparcel.com/collections/products/p...

With a little note like "hey xxx I feel bad you cant see me now, so heres a potato me until we can catch up soon"

no idea why it makes me laugh so much, but im about £150 down and counting...
That's the best thing ever!

Oh! They are lovely old things!

I have a couple of these... (rather boring compared to the BEQ and a lot cheaper I would imagine!)

I wasn’t sure if I explained just how frivolous my purchase actually was!

Already posted over in the “Coronavirus crap you’ve bought” thread, but I ordered some Lego, most of which arrived today.

Idiot dog for scaling purposes.

Thanks, I've also just ordered the engine and exhaust. Now I'll probably start looking for something to put it in. A 4x4 of some sort.

Cool, just be mind full of how small it is, and the scale of vehicle it is best suited too.

So for example the smallest scale cars I currently race on track are 1/12 scale pan cars, which are of course electric.

The team X-ray car this engine is from is a 1/18 scale, so smaller again.

I do have a 1/18 scale car, but it’s electric so not sure it’s an easy conversion.

Thanks, didn't realise that. I have a 1/10 electric, so a 1/18 will be interesting.

I have a couple of RC12R6s, which could be interesting with it... Do you remember those old Cox pan cars?

With all of these questions it comes down to what will you do with it, and how much do you want to spend.

For example we have the most fun racing our 1/12 pan cars in our local school hall.

But we also have massive fun with our 1/8 scale nitro buggies at the local park.

So where you can use it once built is almost as big a question of what do you want to build and race?

Good point bud!!

So if its a kit to build, you will perhaps drive it once, then just look at it i give you this monster.

And as you can spend about the same again in options its mega frivolous!!

I've ordered an A3 laminator for no other reason that just 'cos, along with a pack of A3 pouches and another pack of A4 pouches.

I don't have anything in need of laminating at present.

My printer is only A4 so I can't produce something A3 sized to laminate.

I think that satisfies the thread title...

Loving the nitro engine btw fellas thumbup and the pressure washer with its own enclosure.

One of those moments the ebay ad says make offer, and they accept and you wish you had offered lower.
One of these for £70
https://hyperkin.com/Retron5/

Upscale to 720, SNES, NES, MEGADRIVE, FAMICOM, GAMEBOY all from one system. Save any game at any point (that feels like cheating though), built in game genie (that is cheating), comes with a wireless controller but has ports to plug in 2 official SNES, NES or MEGADRIVE ones in.
