..I'm going to Bergen in 6 weeks, I'd be interested if there's anywhere you'd recommended to eat or drink? Especially if it meant I wasn't returning to England limbless.
I live in Bergen and there's a huge food scene here depending on what you want. If you're into high end restaurants we have some of the best in the country...

Sorry, forgot to return to the thread!

Bergen, like most of Norway, is pretty expensive. I was there for 4 days, and on the company card, so I didn't care so much for costs. However.

Just take money. Lots of money.
Thank you both for the informative replies. We won't be going for fine dining every night, I expect two 'nice' evening meals and a couple of takeaways, with the rest of the spending money for alcohol.

Hopefully I'll get a few photos with this thread in mind..

Cheers!

On our trip to Lanzarote in May we treated ourselves to a villa with a pool in Tias overlooking Puerto del Carmen.

Thought that would generate some interest. hehe

A trip away with friends - most of the blokes and birds in that photo are in our group.

I'm embarrassingly pale-skinned (blonde not ginger before anyone starts!!). If I was in the sun with no cream I would look like I had been par-boiled in 5 mins flat.

Thought I would go for a beer in the shade, started browsing PH and thought I could make a good contribution to this thread which popped up on the front page.

Buza Bar in Dubrovnik if anyone is wondering - recommended.
nice! thinking about going there on my own for a few days - recommend it?

Two for me:

Last Tuesday night, after a long day presenting in KL, was improved immeasurably by Pho Bo and Asahi - 2 of Maslow's basic needs...

And here's today's on holiday. Estrella Damm is like nectar to me...!

Apologies for the slight angle in the top pic. Thumbsnap remains crap

I'd say Leeds or York
York Brewery I think. Love that view.

I have a feeling it's BrewYork brewery and tap room? They do some nice drops.

That looks like Burgermeister in the background. Hungry at the thought of it.

A rare beer for my wife, (she's more of a Prosecco lady).

In a bar overlooking the harbour at Leros on our Dodecanese sailing trip.
