Lovely story - but sadly made up:

Though, as the article says "However, that the story may not be literal truth doesn’t prevent it from being figurative truth. Those who serve overseas do so at the cost of great personal sacrifice. A tale such as this — literal truth or not — serves to remind us all of how much they give and how much we owe them."

Historic US steam sawmill in operation.

If you like big logs and dangerous antique machinery with giant rotating blades then this is for you.

Or if you want to see how much like a foghorn you sound after a decent curry and ten pints of Dr Bottoms amber enema..

Sounding the Sumburgh Foghorn..

Yeah, I did discover it was made up after I posted it, and bits of the narrative seemed a bit contrived, it got me in the feels though!

I like the way he realise he is a dick, grabs his gopro and shoves it out of sight.

Why on earth would you post that online after losing it like that.

Very lucky not to hit any cyclists or pedestrians, could have been a hell of a lot worse than damaged pride and a hike in his insurance premium.

That went wrong quickly!

I wonder if he had the manettino on race mode? ie - all safety systems off? That could explain it.

Potentially was even on. That thing has 800bhp. Most mere mortals would be passengers with the rears lighting up even for a split second I reckon.

I don't think full nanny mode would allow that much slip. I could be wrong though!
