That will most definitely not be the first time that Baby has done that, when Babies are small they retain the instinct to hold their breath (from when they were in the womb) so the first lessons are to get your Baby used to dunking their face in the water, holding their breath and not panicking. You do feel an utter ahole the first time you dunk their face in the water however after the initial shock it all becomes a game. I still have a 50cm Picture on the Dining Room wall of My Daughter at 7 Months old Swimming under the water (she is 9 now and swims very well)even though i could see she was perfectly fine, i dont have the blind conviction that all will be fine if it were my own child.
