For all the ten minute click bait tripe on YouTube you have to be grateful for channels like this and Project Binky et al. Giving us the opportunity to watch these craftsmen, engineers and artisans do their thing.

It's like the Lock Picking Lawyer ( Link to channel page), it's just a guy talking about and picking locks. Nothing exciting, but fascinating to see someone who obviously knows what they're doing working away on these things.

A friend is a locksmith. He's taught me how to get in my front door, my back door, and my patio door with a simple 20 quid picking kit, and in the case of the door from the garage to the house, by a credit card size piece of plastic. I reckon I could get in to a "normal" house inside ten mins. 30 seconds if a tale-type lock. I now look at my house as pretty insecure!

replace the barrels with anti pick/snap/bump ones. It's an incredibly easy DIY task.

This was quite an eye opener for me. Its a 10 minute video about AI/robots/autonomous drones and what their capabilities that are in the public domain. The mind boggles when you think about what they might be able to do that we don't know about .

Reminds me of this video, it's only a matter of time before they can fly on their own like this and just imagine it with a gun on it.

I am thinking you didn't watch the little drones in the video? I can see no reason why AI could not replicate that and whats more there could be any number of them doing that in the same air space, all aware of the next move that they are all going to make. Imagine a swarm of tiny suicidal drones with facial recognition coming after you that are controlling themselves. The tech is working already!

The bit with the drones with the bombs on is off a sci-fi short film called slaughterbots and is not real.
But yes the swarm stuff is real and the technology is almost there if not already if someone really wanted to weaponize them.
I still think it would be incredibly hard to put all into one small drone.

There is no shortage of people motivated to do that, and for that reason I wouldn't be at all surprised if those slaughterbot things could be here already, or close.

with the small swarm drones all you have to do is hide or cover your face for 5 minutes and their batteries will be flat....until they work out how to remote charge them with an airbourne induction charger on a platform....DOH!

She probably made more money from that one video than I'll make in my entire career. I've no idea how these things become popular or what makes some people popular, especially doing very odd things like that.

Is it around £5k per million views?

If so that's over £2 mill for one video

Can be as little as £500/m though, YouTube terms prevent you blabbing.

Still, even at that much it's still not pocket change!
