Rick Stein................continually says...."Back home in Padstow". He's lived in Ozzieland for years, no!
Is he not from Padstow? I've been there recently he has quite a few businesses there still. But I think your correct lives with his wife in Aus
No he came "here" in the early 70's, he buggered off to Oz nearly 10 yrs ago.

They're brilliant. But I can imagine the screams and the angry texts from mum when I get to work...

Parents who call each other Mum and Dad when they're not in front of the kids.
It's bad enough when the kids are there.

Anything but mum. She's not our mum.

Trying to get clarification from a client on their requirements for a piece of work.

The requirements are essentially "when new data arrives, receive data, parse data, if data is relevant then extract and store the details".
I'm trying to get clarification on the format for the data received so that I can write a parser for it, what the definition of 'relevant' is, what information should be extracted (ie. what are the 'details'), and in what format the details should be stored, and they've just repeated the helicopter overview summary as if I am being a bit thick.

That's just reminded me of this website I saw years ago but always forget to use. Type in your search work (eg laptop) and it'll search ebay for spelling mistakes (in this case laprop, lapotp, lapto, lapop, latop and aptop)
http://www.fatfingers.co.uk

There's a shocking amount of not quite laptops being sold new by presumably fairly large retailers.
