I risk the wrath of members here, but has babies wearing bands around their heads sporting a fabric rose been mentioned? Which soap opera started this tacky fashion?

I was on holiday a couple of years ago and was sharing a villa complex and private pool with a chap who used to be in a pop group called 5 and his Mrs who was an atomic kitten or a sugarbabe or something (genuinely). They were minted as fk, but clearly northern Council, as their ugly new baby wore one of those 24/7.

Chav is surely a 100% sub-set of council anyway, isn't it?

i.e. all chavs are council, but not all council are chavs.

Have we had this?

http://www.msn.com/en-gb/news/uknews/800-year-old-...

Article said:
An 800-year-old coffin was damaged when a family lifted a child over a museum barrier and into it for a photograph.

Part of the coffin, which was already in three pieces, fell from its stand and a chunk came off it.

The people who caused the accidental damage were caught on CCTV at Prittlewell Priory Museum in Southend, Essex, but fled without reporting it.

Agreed. Becoming more and more prevalent across society unfortunately. I think it was an American thing originally.

I used to work with a CAMRA type who swore blind that Carling wasn't brewed - it was merely ingredients and flavourings chucked together and canned.

Don't know how true it is but it wouldn't surprise me. I see people in the shops buying it as a drink of choice and all I feel is pity.
