... so I eventually ended up in the cops. Someone mentioned being in “The Gazette”, well, I have been. And as an actual hero, apparently. Utter bks, of course. Walked up to the bloke, him on the wrong side of the car park barrier about five stories up, “You ok, mate?” “No, not really.” “Why don’t you come back over?” “Ok” and he did. We did get close enough to grab him, but that was the extent of our “heroism”.
Dibble, no matter what you think, what you did was heroic. I suspect that if someone like you was about at the right time, I wouldn't have lost a close relative in the same way. You don't need to be james bond or arnie to do something heroic.

We have a yank cop car here, the guy is always waving angrily at traffic and being a non

Often seen parked on the pavement in mayflower park on the seafront along with the local forex “traders”

one of those fake american cop cars?

DVLA say's it's a Dodge so maybe a real, or fake, US cop car
It’s a Dodge Caliber...we narrowly missed the bullet with one of those...bought a C-max instead...that shows how bad it was.

is this one for this thread sorry about the quality.

That just doesn’t “look” authentic enough to be the real thing. No light bar, a fairly benign home-made livery.....my guess is it’s just a massive Walt.

This. Most of the US cop cars I've seen that do kids proms etc don't actually say 'police' on them. It's usually sheriff or highway patrol or somesuch, presumably to avoid exactly the kind of problems the driver of that car is likely to face quite soon.

I spotted an American "cop" car on the M27 westbound near Cadnam not so long ago. Dodge Charger I think. Always a bit of an odd sight. I used to cycle past one on a driveway near Camberley too. I get the idea of owning one to hire out for events/TV shows, etc. But I wouldn't want to drive one about as a daily, just because of the attention I assume it would attract...

Had to travel from the Isle of Wight today to pick my son up from Loughborough where he is at University. On the way back A43/M40 junction saw this . I do wish we were able to get a front photo because it had a bullbar, spots and a tow rope wrapped around the bullbar a la propa 4x4. Hi Viz present on the front seat backs.

Total of 4 CB twigs does that mean 4 rigs ?

Previous insurance scam ‘victim’ per chance ?

Spotted on m40, you can’t see it, but big ‘rescue’ banner in the rear window

The insurance scam must have happened after 30th December 2018.

i would be so tempted to ‘accidentally’ nudge his rear bumper then hop out and accuse him of trying to do an insurance fraud. Just to fk his brain up

How ridiculous.

If someone tried to give me a yellow card, i don't think I'd be very polite.
I'd be swearing even more than usual if one of those s tried to give me a yellow card. I'd be off for dissent very quicklyhehe

I entered the honouree 10th emergency service today due to snow, no 4x4 though but high viz on. Was trying to ascend a bank and unfortutely no luck, but stumbled across a stuck damsel in distress gave her a few words of advice and a good push and off she went. Find out she is a nurse and friend of friend. Can see why they do it, felt like a proper 2 bob hero.

Shout out to the 4x4 crew sleeping with one eye open, the forgotton heroes of snow, rain etc

I saw the Action Men of 4x4 rescue out and about in the very heavy rain on the night of the 23rd, in the lanes around St Brides near Newport. They had the full set of tools; flashing orange lights, high vis jacket, big bendy aerials on a Y reg Discovery, long sticks for measuring the depth of the water, flasks containing what one can safely assume to be weak lemon squash. The looked most put out when I tackled the formidable puddles in my lowered MX5 hehe

If you were stuck and they got you home, you would worship the ground they inhabit.
