What an utter cock.
Search Arsebook and the vid is public accessible. The water depth totally covers the windscreen at one point which is where it’s starting to get seriously, imminently life-threatening.
With the exception of one white Lotus Esprit, cars are not submarines. Wading is one thing. This prick goes way beyond that which speaks volumes of his so-called “experience”.
Only needs a window to give way and the car would fill with water faster than Walt could say “Code red!”.
I’m one of those lucky few who’ve done underwater escape training (in my case from helicopters).
It’s fking terrifying, every time, even the tenth+ time.
The cretins in these videos can’t even begin to imagine what to do if it all went wrong and how fast and decisively a trapped occupant needs to act. That’s on top of the incumbent beer belly that goes with Walt Club membership.
His experience should also tell him you don’t enter the water if you can’t see a way out, but nope...he just keeps on venturing further and further in to the unknown.
And on top of all that he has to drive a Nissan Terrano.

I'm not on social media. I'd like to see that video though if someone can post it.

I know the road, its local to here, either side of a narrow road is fairly deep water with no real edging,
far too easy even in a foot of water to lose sight of the edge and dip the headlights.

anyway the water will have killed the nissan electrics by now.

Thanks. He's knob, but he got through it, surprisingly.

Why did he do that? Was there an actual need or was it just because he thought he could?

That horror gives me the fear.

Apparently his justification is that he’s helping people with their shopping.
His other defence is that people do other dangerous things all the time (motorcycling, skydiving, potholing etc.) and nobody has a go at them.
He’s a weapons-grade tool.

The hardest part to master is the discipline to remain strapped in while the cabin fills with water, and to only unbuckle once the in-flow has largely subsided.
Terrano Man strikes me as the kind of blissfully naive idiot who’d panic, undo his seatbelt at the first breach, and simply get washed down in to the foot wells and wedged under the dash.
Then he’d drown.

I looked a couple of time like the vehicle was getting a little buoyant. I am su the it was going a little sideways at some points.

Agreed - Bellend.

Nope, it's great fun. The most fun is being the first out the door but waiting until you've used all your breath. Gets the panic going.

If he wants to hide behind the premise that he’s assisting people, at least do it properly, with a partner vehicle, and inter-vehicle comms.
The video shows him for what he is - A pub bore trying to look a bit clever.

If anyone is unable to see it, here’s a screenshot I took:

That’s from a dashcam mounted in the usual position behind the rearview mirror, on a Nissan Terrano

yikes

How fking special do you need to be to even attempt that?!
