Has anyone tried Creed Aventus Cologne (thats an EDP and not a Cologne despite the name)?
Yes, got given a couple of samples of it a while back - can't quite remember the exact smell but that it was pleasant. Best bet is to buy a 10ml off of Tom before going for the whole bottle https://tomscreeddecants.bigcartel.com/product/ave...

Hello,

Yeah thats where i saw it strangely enough. From memory, is it old/businessman office smell or promising footballer on-the-pull type of smell

Thanks in advance

Bought another bottle of Brut this weekend. £3 in boots.

Gets very positive comments, as does the Old spice and Tabac. Seems like nostalgia abounds.

I'm fond of Tabac I used to nick my dad's, lovely nostalgia scent from my late teen years. Brut is a step too far!

I’m gonna go for that (Brut)

It just seems so cheap it’d be rude not to.

My vague memory of it was a toned down Aventus with a different smell as it went on - so I would say "smart casual businessman/trip to a nice pub" if that isn't too cringe haha!

I’ve ordered from Tom’s Creed Decants on a number of occasions and always been very pleased. Never had a problem.

Just ordered 30ml of Green Irish Tweed for £40.

That works out at £1.33 per ml.

If you buy the biggest 500ml bottle of G.I.T from Creed it costs £685, which is £1.37 per ml.

How is Tom’s Decants selling it for less than the best value bottle you can get from Creed?

I’m sure someone will point out something really obvious to me!

I think the 500ml versions used to be closer to £500, however I don't expect he's doing it for profit, more so he can take a % of each bottle effectively for free and have a nice collection

If you include the free postage he offers, he’s losing around £3 per Creed order, and he probably sells a lot of orders per week.

I note he sells numerous other brands now as well, so maybe he’s making it up on those.

Had a spray of Bentley Intense EDP a week ago.

Wow!

It is fantastic. I can’t describe the smell, I’m not good at that but it’s incredibly long lasting.

I couldn’t find a shop with it on offer so Beauty Base was visited. £39.50 for 100ml which isn’t bad.

I highly recommend it

Quite simply, he’s not buying them at retail prices.

I’d take a guess he’s making £1-200 a bottle.

It doesn’t bother me if he makes a profit, he provides a good service and I’ll continue to buy stuff from him.

I would hope he was making a profit for his efforts.

But where is he buying 500ml bottles of Creed for way less than retail? Does he have a friend who pushes them off the back of a lorry for him?

I’m just curious really.

Anyone have experience with Penhaligon's?

Being eyeing their range for a while but haven't had chance to try any, tempted to pick up their sample set...

I got their sample set a month or two ago and it's...ok. Not enough to tempt me to buy anything full-size though.

Penhaligon's is good in my opinion.

I first smelled Penhaligon's 'Violetta' on a lap dancer, and I liked it that much that I asked her what it was, and bought a bottle for my wife.

After that I had a smell of the mens range and have been a big fan of buying 'Endymion' for the last few years. It's nice.
