It's Post Trauma.
That's what it is.
You need to spend the summer in the woods wearing a bandana and living on grubs like that bloke Paul Hardcastle when he came back from 'Nam

What's this about Bomma and the tail gunner from a Lancaster?

Did I read that right?
My dad was a tail gunner in a Lancaster if that's any help? 1944 it was, 166 Squadron. 31 operations, he couldn't have been a well man...

Had a fair drop of rain here overnight, got a bit of a leak in the front porch. I'll need to get the small ladder and have a proper look.

Can't foresee much going wrong there.

Ok chaps, a few of us (well two) have been in discussion recently and I know we have DD's but thought we would float the idea of a weekend meetup in a rented property for all like minded folks on this thread. It would have to be centrally located for all concerned, and also a few months away for anybody wanting to come to check their diaries and make sure we are all available.
This is just an embryonic idea, but one we feel would lead to a lot of hilarity, tears and cementing friendships, as well as putting a face to the mysterious names!
The whole idea could be or it could be an but if you do not at least try and all that.
Looking forward to seeing if we could really do this, you know it makes sense Rodney smile

Strangely reminded of this.....

A chap is invited to a barbecue by his boss - the two of them are cooking sausages and the guy says what's the plan for this evening? The boss says oh what we usually do is have some beers, some food, sex, more food more sex, bit of dancing, and more sex.
The guy says great sounds fantastic when are the others arriving?
The boss says....

Ooh no mate it's just you and me.

Not at all old chap. I was once queueing in Aldi and Pushfit was in front, buying a Lobster and a bag of charcoal. And a Def Leppard CD.

Anyhow, October would be good. Except the half term week, looking after the granddaughter then. Or November, we could hire a boat on the Broads.

It'd be a lot safer, surely?

The worst thing that could happen is we'd be hit by a low flying aircraft. There's a lot of low flying aircraft over that area, it wouldn't be our fault.

I reckon we should go for it.

Marseille looks nice today,in the aerial shots, although I'm led to believe it's a bit of a dump in places.

Banstrad looks grim today ,from the sofa.

I'm up for a get together - a weekend may be tricky though given the work mayhem plus Lady P's determination to divert me from manly things

Well lets make it happen. How about we all just try and sort a weekend where we are all available, book something and go and have a bloody good time?
