Well, that's the float valve business sorted. No sign of Noah either, though there is a suspicious scraping noise coming from somewhere in the garden.

I've sent the dog out, I'll have a proper look later on.

Nothing since quarter to three? It's an outrage.

Get out there at once and do something trivial.

Nothing further on the scraping thing.

Might have been a couple of hedgehogs going about their business.

I've heard similar stories about them before. Mucky little pups.

Completing on a house purchase tomorrow.

It's taken us 18 months of searching to find the right place, but the end is in sight.

(Double garage too so I'm rather happy).

You have a hundred moths?

You old lepidopterist, you.

How have you been, pad? When not collecting moths, I mean. Still Quattroed right up?

Well done pad. That's an impressive accumulation.

Pleased to report everything's working as it should here. Nothing fallen off, no leaks.

I'll keep quiet about it though. Don't want to tempt fate and all that.

Me: Have I said that anything you want to do in life, do it while you're young?
No.1 son: Yes, dad, many times. And every time you say it, it freaks me out.

There was a time when I could have envisaged taking the body off a car as part of a restoration. Now it just looks like SO MUCH WORK. Too daunting for sober contemplation.

I know! I'll think about it next time I'm tiddly. Y'know, make plans specifically to not do.
Sounds like you need me to show you how to put the body back...

Then, it ends up looking something like this...

Very late to this, but as TT's resident wedger I have to say what a cracking job you did there, that early tasmin looks lovely, I do like those original style wheels. I had a dhc tasmin that was only a year younger than yours but it spontaneously combusted.
I now have a later 350i

How about a 1928 GN with an AC engine.
Talking to the current owner a few weeks ago and he was telling me the tale of how the original supercharged v-twin GN engine was crap, so the original owner went to chat to the Hurlock brothers at AC and bought an engine for £10, payable in 2 monthly installments!.

here is a link to a short clip of the car testing at Blyton park

Nice pic.

Racing cars from that period are great and the people who race them now are heroes ,hanging out the sides on

corners n stuff.
