Very late to this, but as TT's resident wedger I have to say what a cracking job you did there, that early tasmin looks lovely, I do like those original style wheels. I had a dhc tasmin that was only a year younger than yours but it spontaneously combusted.
I now have a later 350i

Back in the day, 1981 to be precise, I was in a position not dissimilar to Dicky C's @ Million Dollar Motors for 'Jolly' John Britten, purveyor of 'Trevors' , Morgan & the MG based Arkley SS at Arkley (oddly) in rural Hertfordshire. It was a roving brief, in other words nobody else will do it so I had to!

I well remember the day in winter when I was asked to move a brand new one that was outside the showroom. I got my feet trapped behind the pedals because it had such bad water ingress the carpet was frozen solid so I just slipped across it

I also remember our registration sequence for that year started with ULC.

Brian our chief Tech, the only man I ever met who could tune a Pre HE V12 Jag by ear, saying it was an apt set of initials for the cars: Useless Load of Crap!!

Mine is sort of watertight in that I only get a light drip on the drivers side but it doesnt really matter because I wouldnt plan on driving it in the wet.

My first one I bought from suffolk and drove back to west yorks in a torrential downpour, it was like chinese water torture, I had a constant drip onto my right forearm about every 5 seconds for 4 hours despite the hood and seals being pretty much as new.

Don't think the FHC was much better, boot was the issue there iirc.

Was once sent to Harrogate to collect a Morgan of some sort too.... My body did the journey for days after!

Who buys those things?

Well i'll be blowed.....yikes....channel surfed a bit ,saw that Everton played some friendly game against a team I've never heard of and a

bloke looking a lot like Wayne Rooney was interviewed.

I had no idea he's gone back there.

Sorry to mention football at the TT bar ,I'll banish myself for the rest of the month.

Although I might have a lead on the whereabouts of the TT Ransomes mower.

On the antique road trip show I watched earlier a Ransomes mower seat was found in East Anglia........scratchchin

Battert has family in both Diss and Ipswich ,a likely suspect ?
