That was a pretty nauseating piece. All about how the poor, deprived travellers are being discriminated against.
Are you suggesting that there has ever been a piece when that claim isn't made?

Loads have turned up with horses on playing fields (Waterhall) near Brighton, maybe it's on the way home from Wickham, will be interesting to see if they try going into any of the parks like they used to, the council have a new bylaw, something like Public Space Protection Order which means they can move them on in 12 hours, so far 1 lot tried it in Preston Park but were very quickly kicked out.

What address would you send their polling cards to?
Are Irish travelers on the electoral role?

I suspect not.
IMHO that precludes them from voting and having the right to be represented.

No representation without taxation.

As that parasitic scum consistently gets away with criminal activity that would get US into bother with the Police and the Courts, it is surely US that are being discriminated against?

There's a load in Taunton at the moment in the grounds of what used to be a secondary school.

Right next to a industrial area with a lot of franchised garages who are reporting tool thefts.

Interestingly though the rumour is they were in Bridgwater but we're seen out the town by the locals , which if you know Bridgwater is most likely true.

Came across a planning permission appeal today. Bloke with gypsy roots claimed living in a house was causing him 'psychological problems' and so he needed permission to put a mobile home and horses onto some Greenbelt land.

Application denied by council so he took it to appeal, and lost that too!

There's a bloke in the midlands, a "planning consultant" who does all their applications.

I joined in a jovial discussion about travellers on Digital Spy a year or two back, and made the classic error of calling them untermenschen.
Some upstanding citizen took exception to that, and went snivelling to "Sir."
I was handed a lifetime ban, which initially annoyed me, but I quickly got over it.

Just read locally that some traveller kids set three dogs on a local resident's cat and stood and watched as the dogs killed it. Just putting that out there for the occasional apologists who pitch up from time to time.

Bristol council are trying to educate people to combat the myths about travelers...

They are actually clean, lew abiding, tax payers just like the rest of society smile
Whoever wrote that load of ste has quite obviously lived a very sheltered life!
I can well imagine the instant they get they're hands on a bit of cash after flogging stuff the first thought must be about paying income tax on it.
How would they pay road tax anyway because where the hell would the vehicles be registered to?
Seriously this country pisses me off with all this lefty bks! What a waste of time and money.

An infestation appeared in a town near where I grew up, just before they "moved on" £20,000 of ground works equipment was stolen from a business near the site, local message boards suggest some of the equipment was seen at the site. They are now about 10 minutes away in a local park next to a large secondary school apparently, the local parents are in a right old tizz.

A bunch of them have appeared on the Clifton downs in Bristol.
The council have thoughtfully provided them with some industrial wheelie bins.
The taxpayers of Bristol will be delighted, I'm sure

Fkers are back with us yet again. They know the land isn't owned by the local parish council and that the borough and county councils couldn't give a toss and take plenty of time to evict, so they just keep rocking up. I imagine their mates are all in a field round the corner waiting for bank hol weekend to descend once more. I'm sure out village must be one of the top recommendations on PikeAdvisor.

TBH I have no issues with the council doing this... I DO have an issue with them not going after harder targets at all!
